We all love your program The way you transform weddings is utterly amazing. My daughter is getting married in 2012 and we have a limited budget so much of the wedding is DIY. The dresses are being purchased, but my family and I will be decorating. Do you have tips on how to inexpensively transform a less-than-pretty venue such as a VFW hall into something beautiful on a budget? This is my daughter's second marriage and everything that could go wrong at her first wedding went wrong. I could write a long, long list including a bridesmaid closing a car door on her hand and breaking bones, the maid of honor breaking her toes, broken cake topper, hair dressing disaster, having to buy bridesmaid dresses on the day of the wedding, and much, much more. My daughter deserves a wonderful day and I hope you can make some suggestions to make her wedding day amazing (in a good way!).

Dear David,

I am the mother ofthe groom.  His name is Shayne. He has just returned from Afghanistan. He isproposing to his girlfriend tomorrow 1/28/12. They are planning on getting married on May 21 2012 in Iowa.  His wife-to-be is Meghan Stulke.

I don't know much about the preparation, except that my husband and I are to host the rehearsal dinner.

They are both in the military and I was wondering if you could assist with their wedding.  I live in San Antonio and I haveto fly out to Iowa.

She has gotten the dress and it is beautiful, but that is all I knowabout the preparations.

I was wondering if you could help them with this special day.  I have seen what you have done for so many brides and it has been awesome.

If you can help, that would be wonderful, however if not, I just want to say you make my Sundays blissful.  You really have the magic touch.

I have a burning question, you darling man.  After years of failed experiments, I finally have the perfect hairstyle that fits my personality and character flawlessly.  It's sassy, purple, and very, very short in the back.  I adore the way it looks for my everyday life, and for normal evening events, but I'm totally stymied because I don't like it one tiny bit for my wedding.  Everything I want for my perfect day is classical and elegant, and spiky punky simply isn't.  Plus, I want to wear a gorgeous veil (one of yours, actually), but there's literally nothing there to pin it to.  I can't very well tie it around my chin, I'd look ridiculous.  Wig?  Miracle?  Suggestion?  Help!

PS:  Kudos on the AD charity work.  I'm pre-med neurology specializing in developing and implementing regen therapies for AD and Parkinson's, so it's close to home.  With you on the team we can't possibly fail!

Dear David,

I love your show but more importantly your sincerity and your intereractions with the brides, grooms, family and friends.

My fiance and I want to have an intimate wedding.  I get overwhelmed with all the details and the large number of people at most events.  We would like to be able to spend more time and truly share our wedding day(s) with the people who have traveled and made time in their schedule to spend time with us.

We are in NYC with family in California, England, Korea, and Bolivia.  It seems harder to find a venue to host a smaller wedding (50-60 people) and to figure out activities/entertainment for them.  I am also trying to keep a budget of less than $15,000.  Is this unrealistic?  Would you please provide any advice on how to search and find a venue? Any recommendations regarding any aspect of a pulling together a wedding would be very much appreciated.

Sincerely,

Myra

Hey David! I watch your show faithful and I love it; I'm planning my first wedding October of 2013 and I need some help.  My colors are going to be: burnt orange, cranberry, chocolate/brown with possibly gold accessories and I was telling one of the ladies that's going to be my maid of honor but she was saying I need to narrow my colors down because that was too many.  What do you think? I'm using those colors because my theme is "Falling in love 2012" plus the season will be Fall.  Any suggestions are welcomed!
