Love the set up. Great choice of colors soft and romantic without looking tried. Congrats!

I really like that. And it is similar to what we are doing minus the champagne. :)

Except we are having some savory items too.

But yes... EVERYONE I know that is older than me had church receptions that were cake, punch, mints and nuts. (my parents included) SO much less stress.

We are going pretty close to that route with a slight notch above as far as formality since we do have more choices and some savory items. I am pleased with our decision even though it was not the original plan.

BTW I think I am stealing the ferrera roche and kisses idea. :)

Hear hear!  I love it.  Simple, sweet, celebratory.  Vintage glamour.

I love this idea. I wanted to do this with sparkling cider instead of champagne (I won't even be 21), but my FI told me that he'd rather have more food. So we compromised on an hors d'oeuvres, dessert, and cider reception (picnic style!).

I like it very much.  I would consider this but my fiance's mom insists that we have a dinner meal which she will pay for.  This means we won't have to pay for the food so I am fine with that.

My mother did this for my shower but instead of tags, she stuck on origami cranes with everyone's name on them.  We filled them with cosmopolitan(s?)  and handed them to the guests as they arrived.  We ended up going through 7 gallons of cosmos:) cleaning the glasses was not as fun.

This is great! My fiance and I were just discussing last night having a champagne and desserts reception to keep costs down and afford inviting everyone one know. We thought of adding some hors d'oeuvres, too, since we'll still have music and dancing and don't want everyone to leave because they're hungry!
