Thank you for such a great idea. I've been trying to find a good DIY flower piece because all the ones ive found in stores are easy $50+ and I like, but im not in love. Im going to try this tonight, i'll post pictures if it turns out well :-)

I did it too! It was a little challenging cutting the tulle in petals but it turned out great!

do the raw edges fray? or does it stay clean looking? also how did you secure the bead in the middle sewing?

A tip for making the flowers much easier than hand cutting them is to use a die cut machine.  You can fold the fabric about 3-4 times and run it through the machine so whithin seconds you have 10 flowers already made and garenteed to look exactly the same.  A lot of stamping stores even have the machines out that you can use as needed :)

I used this for my BM flowers! It was meant for their necklaces, but we decided it looked better on the dresses.

I meant to use it again for my cake box, but never got to it :(

I used this for photo 3024345-1

I made several Here photo 3068922-1

I made several. Here's a variation of the same flower. Plan on wearing this one in my hair with our without birdcage veil. Making blue ones for my MOH and BM.

I went and bought the materials and made one of these, but mine came out flat.  Does anyone know how to make it look three dimensional like the picture?  Mine is just flower shapes stacked on top of each other and a sparkly button sewn in the middle.   Not as cute as I hoped.

Here is how mine photo 3154248-1Here is how mine turned out.  I layered the tulle and chiffon and fastened with a pretty button in the middle.  Then I sewed the flower to a hair comb and added some glitter fabric paint for effect.  I made one for each of my six bridesmaids to wear in their hair.  And the flowers have sevel petals- one for me and each of my bridesmaids.

@SarissaJohnson, when you have all the petals, put your finger in the middle and push it down, then hold the bottom with your other hand, you can sew it to keep it in place which i think its the best idea so it doesnt get ruined after some time :)
