I actuallyn love my ring. but I have chosen it. I just saw it on a site and it kind of "called" me. it is exactly what I wanted. I always hated the idea of a clean new solitaire. I am just too romantic for that. I wanted an antique setting. so we got sth that has a style mix of the 20ths and the 50ths and the middle stone is an old sapphire. decades ago colour stones where more lifely.
I also love the cushion cut of the stone and the way the colour changes in light. sometimes it looks violet but in natural light it is lilacblue. it is an unheated ceylon sapphire
No way. I love my ring. It's simple and it has a lot of sentimental value..it came from my future hubby!
I LOVE mine!! Prob helps that I helped pick out
i looooooooooove mine. FI went above and beyond what i was thinking : )
you'd have to pry it off my cold dead finger!
I love mine :)
He had it made according to what I told him I liked years before .. .so I got lucky ... I LOVE MINE!
I love mine...wouldn't want anything different
I loved mine, and still do! I wear it with pride, every day!
I'm on the fence about mine. I mean, it's pretty, but not for me. It's like.. the poor man's version (no snarkiness intended) of the ring I would have loved.
In the mean time, I will enjoy the fact that I have a beautiful ring on my finger and wait for the upgrade ; )
I love mine!
I love my ring...my man picked so well. I wouldn't dream of changing it.
I love everything about mine. He picked it out all by himself, had it custom made, and even included a diamond from my grandma's ring that she passed down to me. So that I always know which diamond is hers, there's a little heart file mark underneath.
love mine but heck I picked it out!
When I first saw it I thougtht - that's not the band I would have picked (I wanted a wider band) but in less than a day I fell absolutely in love with it!! FI did a lot of research about the band and it turns out because my hands are so small, a smaller band was really the best way to go! He did such an amazing job, it is so like him to pick out something so perfect for me that I didn't even know that I wanted.
I LOVE my ring! :) My FH picked it, and he picked it perfectly!
OK, so I don't have a huge ring and I probably would've picked something slightly bigger, but he did a great job on picking the ring design...it has multiple stones, the center one is a princess cut that sits up high and I love that about it. My only complaint is that it didn't come in a set and is very hard to match, so I want a matching set maybe for a one year wedding anniversary (I've been wearing my engagement ring for 4 years...it's not like it's new!).
Originally I refused a ring. I didn't want one. But I had to get one because "what would everyone else think?!?!?" coming from DH who didn't want to appear the careless, cheapskate because he had a weirdo girlfriend.
So in the end... I picked mine out. So obviously I think it's gorgeous. However, it has diamonds around the entire ring (like an eternity ring) so I get worried the claws are going to wear out and the diamonds on the inside are going to fall out!
And sometimes I feel like an obvious outsider because I live in the Bay Area where people wait until they have dentures and their ovaries fall out to get married and then can afford HUGE rings (but not houses)... so we have a bunch of ladies with 2 carat rings and I'm over here with my 0.7 carat blinging diamond... ha! And I didn't even want one. Shoot me.
I love mine ever since the first sight.
haha, interesting post! Not at all, because I picked it out! My FI and I have very different taste in jewerly and he thought if we were spending a lot of money on something, I should love it, right?!~
nope! i looooooooooooooooooooooove mine : )
