I wish I could make these myself. We're paying 310$ each for similar dresses :(

So i'm currently attempting to follow your instructions. They're pretty good but i have a couple hickups so far. I've been sewing for about 4 years if that gives you an idea of my level.

1. the waste band: First, you say it needs to be 3 inches wide and bigger than the waste. I assumed that meant cut the fabric 3 inches, but obviously you meant 6 inches folded in half to 3 inches. Also, you have instructed us to sew it right sides together but then do not have us turn it right side out inorder to sew it to the skirt. The problem here is you're going to wind up with the wrong side out on the band. If it's covered that's not a problem but I'd still prefer it to be right side out so it looks nicer so i'd suggest sewing it right sides out.

2. Your instructions say to "Pin the waist band to the skirt, right sides together with the two edges starting and ending at the center front". Right sides of what, the band or skirt? I simply kept the skirt hems out and pinned the waist band to it also hem out. Bad call, i have to rip it apart cuz the band hem is now sticking out when i put the dress on.

3. You don't tell us how or where exactly to pin the panels, it just says pin it. I currently have to rip mine apart because i pinned them ontop of the waste band durring the pinning step. Since that is how it sounds in step order. This came out looking odd with the band making a loop between the skirt and panels. I now see that i have to pin the panels UNDER the band, between band and skirt. In order for it to come out with the panels neatly ontop of the band. I also will roll the edges about 1/4th inch so the uneven edge will be hidden through the pungling neck line and around the arms.

I love this tutorial! I think it just needs some clarification in places. I've read other tutorials for infinity dresses and this is the best and easiest to follow.
