Here is a funny hair story.. My guy, who knew he was going to give a ring for Christmas.. went with me to my hair appt.. just before Christmas.. He sat and watched me get 5 inches cut off!.. UGH..It is great for daily wear.. I love it.. but now if I want it up.. I have to go grow it right back out..What a stinker! Well hair grows and I have until October. so It will be long enough.

Lally - same thing happened to me. I told FI that I was going to chop off a foot and he didn't try to talk me out of it. Proposed 3 days later. I am okay with having shorter hair for our wedding, but I would have had a lot more options if I had kept it long

I'd add "You wait until the last minute for your hair trial." My first trial was only a couple weeks before the wedding - it was awful and I booked another trial for the week before. Then my stylist got sick and had to cancel our 2nd trial! I freaked out and because the first trial was so bad, I lost confidence in my orginial stylist and cancelled on her for the big day! I went with someone else who thankfully was available for a trial and on the wedding day, but it was VERY stressful and last minute. Plan ahead ladies!!

I have been growing my hair out ever since he proposed.  I hate my hair long, I miss my short inverted bob (it was so cute), but I am not cutting it until after the wedding.  He loves it long though I have told him, the next day it goes buh-bye and it is not coming back!

I had fully planned on wearing my hair down and curly (The way DH likes it)  but the main detail of my dress was on the back from the neck to the waist ...my hair would have covered it ,  so I searched for a style that gave the "appearance"  of long hair without covering my dress up in the back ..... and luckily my stylist was worth every penny ...my hair trial I loved in teh salon ... got home and looked at the pics and I realised it just wasn't me .... I planned to have her alter it when we did it for the wedding ....the morning of I sat down and she immediately suggested we change EXACTLY what I planned on suggesting to her :)

thanku project wedding for all the amazing articles it is really really helping a lot u are my organizers and my relief escape (didn't really think of how much stressing it is )

for me i chose a hair dresser who is my friend he is too talented , knows me very well , and is ready to try a hair style each day so i know he wouldn't be frowning and nagging on the big day

so a tip for all of u mates : choose someone you love and it's not an obligation that he be a hollywood stylist or takes all the money you have

Another great tip: make sure you do a hair trial. You can have the best stylist ever, but if she doesn't understand what you're asking for, you could be surprised and disappointed on your wedding day.

This is going to be the hardest part for me. I hate my hair on a good day and I'm super picky, but these tips are really helpful. Hopefully I'll come up with something I love.

what can you do with a bridesmaid (groom's only sibling) who's hair is ear-length and cut in a very unflattering style, therefore, not short but too short to do anything with?  I want my bridesmaids to have their hair up as I am having mine down but can't do this with her hair due to the lack of length.  I have asked her if she would grow her hair between now and the wedding (in December) so that it is a little more 'versatile' and she has refused - is this is a firing offence?

Why do brides want to force girls to wear their hair a certain way. Some girls do not look good with long or short hair and I can't grow my hair out due to the illness I have. Thankfully the 6 weddings I have been in this is one area the bride let all of us choose for ourselves and each time mine looked very pretty and it never detracted from the others. Infact my short boring hair made all of the others look just that much better.

Being a bride does not mean dictating. If the gir's all want to do this then great, but don't make them grow or cut their hair.
