I could never do this. Because then you walk down the aisle and he's already seen you. :/ I don't like this at all, I'm sorry.

It's just like, "Hi, I'm here and I'm dressed up!" Walking down the aisle, you get such an extravagant entrance and all eyes are on you and everyone is getting to see you for the first time in your gown...why ruin it with a "first look?" I just don't get it.

And oh...this article only gives us three reasons we should do it?! Umm...not good enough for me!

Yea I agree FutureMrsWol... I see why couples do it and I think it's really sweet but I want my FI to see me for the first time when I'm walking down the isle.

I feel it takes away from the moment too but understand why some people prefer to have that moment private and more intimate.

I am doing it because we are doing our photos prior to our ceremony. We aren't having a cocktail hour and therefore we don't want our guests waiting for us.

While my hubby & I decided to wait to see each other at our ceremony, I completely understand why so many brides prefer the "first look" option. First of all, the pictures turn out very intimate, genuine, and absolutely beautiful. Secondly, it gives you & your groom the opportunity to share a special moment before all of the festivities. As every married woman knows, your wedding day seems to fly by so moments like that can really make a difference.

But if you decide to go with the more traditional route, I would definitely recommend planning ahead of time to take sometime to get away (just you & your DH) to catch your breath and attempt to take it all in. My hubby & I took sometime to ride around our venue in our vintage car (after taking pictures) and I wouldn't trade that special moment for the world :) We were able to decompress and share some private kisses (hehe!) before entertaining our guests for the rest of the evening.

JUST SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT! Thanks 4 sharing, Sarahzlot.
