Quad screen positive :(

Okay, let me preface this by saying that I know this is a screening and nothing more, but I see why women get nervous about this! I picked up my chart from my OB today to take with me to the perinatologist on Wednesday per his instruction. After looking over the material, I found the results of my quad screen. Everything was fine, but apparently my ratio for Downs was 1 out of 233 and the cut off was 1 out of 270. So I'm not sure what will happen now, but I'm hoping this is a case of a false positive.

I had the test that MNM is talking about.  It is also known as a cell-free fetal dna test.  It is 99% accurate - the baby's DNA was screened for Trisomy 21 (Downs), Trisomy 18 and Trisomy 13.  We opted to NOT have them screen for sex.

Get THIS test.  This way you don't have to do the invasive tests to find out!
