Question??

When you pick your wedding date, does the time of year play apart in it? Are your colors then selected because the time of the year or because you like them?

Time of year was because we didn't want it to be too cold or too hot. Colors were chosen because I wanted the main color to be my FI's favorite color So April is the time of year Colors are Olive Green, Ivory and Lavender

We picked November party because it was out of season and a bit less painful on our wallet. Like Kim, we also didn't want something too hot or too cold. November was a bit of a gamble, but it was 60F and perfect. I did consider time of year when I picked colors. I knew I wanted black BM dresses and that isn't really a spring color.

Some people do choose fall or spring based on the colors they want - reds and golds, etc for fall, lighter colors for spring...but there are no rules. I, and I think most people here, are of the firm belief that It's YOUR Day - do what you want to do!!

It might be easier to find fall colored favors closer to that time of the year, but if you plan well enough ahead you can a lot of stuff on sale after the season the year before!

So I would not let the time of year dictate your colors or theme at all, but do know that certain times of the year are busier than others for weddings and so costs may be higher and you may want to consider that as far as when to hold your celebration, but not how you design it. HTH!

We said I do on our one year anniversary. There was no big to do about it so no color choosing was involved. For our renewal it will be in our anniversary and he chose colors (red and purple;his favorite and mine). Time of year was not a factor.

We are getting married next month.  For the sake of practicality, we had to schedule our wedding during one of the breaks in the legislative session (some time periods during session are just way too crazy).  Also, San Francisco is hosting the America's Cup and our must-have venue wouldn't allow us to have an event during the races.

Our colors are based on the wildflowers at our ceremony site and the color of the reception venue (purple).

time of year def played a part.

We chose Sept..not too hot, and not too cold. I pray the weather is lovely.

Navy blue and white, with a splash of yellow is what I have in mind. I don't want everything matchy matchy, but nice you know....

Haven't decided on the venue but that will not change my colors...at least not at this point.
