I'm sure every one has heard by now that Elizabeth Taylor has passed on. She was a true diva!
I agree, RIP Liz.
This makes me so sad...one of Old Hollywood's most glamorous stars has finally faded. :( RIP
I had the pleasure to meet her some years ago in Orange County, CA and she was stunning, even in a wheelchair. I was captivated and her eyes were literally hypnotizing. They were violet and her smile almost made me fall over. I grew up watching her films as a child and even now, I will stop everything to watch Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Butterfield 8 and Cleopatra. Who's Afriad of Virginia Woolf still makes me cry and almost sick to my stomach at how they act, but it was amazing. I had never been star struck and figured "oh I'll just go say hi and shake her hand" it was at an AIDS benefit. She was so regal, a small delicate lady but full of grace and strength. The fact that she was in pain but came out for the chairty to help others was moving. It made me realize, sometimes you have to push your own pain aside to help others. Selfless. Her voice was shaky but strong at the same time and she spoke with such conviction to find a cure for AIDS and HIV. She truly moved me to tears.
May she be in a peaceful and restful place
Oh no!!!!!!!!! I didn't know!!! :(
May her soul rest in peace. She gets to go hang out with her BFF MJ now! Wow, Heaven is going to be quite entertaining.
I was so devastated, she was an amazing lady, and so beautiful! I think I'm going to go out and by one of the diamond's collection and wear it for a week in memorium
@SBMG that's amazing that you got to meet her! Was she able to talk very much? I remember her voice from Cleopatra was so velvety
Nelly - she gave a lovely speech about her friend Rock Hudson (whome I didn't know was gay until I was in college, but I had such a little girl crush on him in Giant! lol)and how we need to do more to fight AIDS and so many other dieseases. She just seemed so powerful and she was so small. When I shook her hand, it was so delicate but she had a grip on her! I just couldn't stop looking at her eyes...I mean, I only felt like that two other times: when I met Michael Jackson and when I met FI for the first time, I couldn't stop looking into their eyes. Sounds weird I know.
