1/ Not finding exactly what I want for our reception - I feel a bit silly calling it that because it's not really a reception, just lunch!!

2/ My future in-laws being a royal pain in the butt!! They have an issue with my family because we are closer to them - mainly because they aren't insane and have welcomed FI with open arms where I had to really work to be accepted by them. Other than that it should be a great day!!

3/ Watch cheesy TV, read or drink!! I used to do crafts, but left all my supplies in England so need to start building up my collection again

1. What are you most stressed about when it comes to your wedding planning? Time!! Seriously time is just flying by and it stress the hell out of me. I'm so scared I won't make it in time even though I'm actually right on my schedule...

2. What are you most worried about when it comes to your actual wedding day? Decoration at the venue will not be finish when guest will arrive. We might ended up having the venue only at 14h00 the day of the wedding to decorate and the religious celebration is at 14h00. So, I hired people to decorate but still...they might only have about 1h-1h30 to put all the things down!

3. What do you do to de-stress? Spending time with FI, having a nice dinner and watching a movie, or taking a bath with a glass of wine and a good book!

1.  What are you most stressed about when it comes to your wedding planning? Well right now I'm stressed about getting our pics back from the photographer!

2.  What are you most worried about when it comes to your actual wedding day? While planning I was most worried that our band wouldn't show. I kept replaying Turk and Carla's from Scrubs wedding in my mind when their band got food poisoning and Ted's do wop goup woundup playing instead.

3.  What do you do to de-stress? I talked to DH a lot and he would calm me down. A good hug from him was sometimes all that I need!

@ Nicki - Don't you even worry!  A lunch wedding reception is still a reception and it'll still be as beautiful as any other reception!  I hope you find exactly what you're looking for.  As far as family dynamics, it's always tricky somehow isn't it?  And yes, definitely get those craft supplies going!  I was surprised at how relaxing wedding DIYs were...

@ Pascale - Ohhhh yeah.  The time thing.  *nods*  I know exactly what you mean.  :/  Ever since 2012 hit, it feels like I've been racing against the clock all of the sudden.  Not a nice feeling, BUT I'm sure you're doing a lot better than you think.  Sometimes, it helps to look back at all the things you've already checked off your list and realize how much you've already done, as opposed to focusing on what still needs to be done.  YOU CAN DO IT.  One thing at a time lady.  ;)

@ Nikki - Are you stressed about how they turned out??  Because I'm 200% sure that they turned out beautifully.  :)  And I totally remember that Scrubs episode!  Was it just because of that episode or was the band known to be unreliable at times?

Here's me:

1.  What are you most stressed about when it comes to your wedding planning?  I'm with Pascale on this one.  I'm feel like I'm racing against time all of the sudden.  That and I'm stressed about whether our guests will love our wedding day as much as we do, but then when I think about it, nobody should love it as much as we do anyways.

2.  What are you most worried about when it comes to your actual wedding day?  I'm worried that people will be absolutely bored at the reception!  UGH.  For some reason, I always imagine seeing people sitting with their chins in their hands, yawning and looking at their watches...  :/

3.  What do you do to de-stress?  LOTS of hot lavender baths, bubble baths, hugs from FI, the BFF and my mom, and YOGA.  Saving graces man.

1.  What are you most stressed about when it comes to your wedding planning? Our insane families. I stopped talking to my mom and that really helped, but now FH's family is driving me nuts. I never thought that so many people could act ridiculous at the same time. His aunt is always butting into our business, his mom treats his sister like a princess, and they all act like FH is the father of the family. I'm at the point where I might not talk to any of them after the wedding..sad, but true.

2.  What are you most worried about when it comes to your actual wedding day?  I'm worried that it will be a disaster and that we will regret having the wedding. We wanted to just have a DW by ourselves, but his family shot that down real quick. I just have a feeling that it will be full of family drama and fighting.

3.  What do you do to de-stress?  Turn my phone off lol. I started doing Zumba which helps a lot. I try to focus on the good things about the wedding. Oh, and date nights with FH really help!

1.  What are you most stressed about when it comes to your wedding planning?

My ceremony and reception are both being held at my house, which is not huge. I'm worried about the logistics of switching set-ups between the ceremony and the reception, since we are using the same space and everyone will be here as it happens. I'm worried that things will become too crowded, or that more people than I expect will be able to come and we won't be able to accommodate them all!

2.  What are you most worried about when it comes to your actual wedding day?

This is the big one. Most people in my family have come to terms with the fact that I am getting married, and moving away, and gratuating, all within a couple months of each other. However, my Dad has yet to do so. He still, every time he see's me, tells me how stupid I'm being and how I'm leaving him to be all alone (he is divorced). He finds some way to argue with me about every little wedding detail, even if he has to make things up to do it. He still pokes fun at my fiance for being overweight (which is really stupid because my dad is the same size), and makes assumptions about what he will and won't do for me once we are married.

Point is, he has been very disrespectful of us and I am worried about how he will act on our actual wedding day. Will he complain to everyone? Will he make some smart-ass toast? What will he say when asked to give me away? I don't want him bringing down my wedding.

3.  What do you do to de-stress?

Honestly I spend time with my fiance. He can always make me relax and feel better. Everything else I do these days is stressful in one way or another. =P

1.  What are you most stressed about when it comes to your wedding planning?

preparing the ceremony, planning things with FMIL when it does concern her, but I'm not that much stressed by the weeding planning, I like planning events

2.  What are you most worried about when it comes to your actual wedding day?

the ceremony...I hope everyone will like it, it's a bit untraditionnal to have a ceremony outside and moreover a non religious one...So I hope that people will feel the love and like it...

3.  What do you do to de-stress?

Baths!going out with friends and FI, DIY projects!

Mica - I'm a tid bit stressed about how they turned out. I'm stressed that they didn't capture every moment that I missed too! I also check my email about a billion times a day searching for a "Your pictures are in!" email.

Ha I heart Scrubs! The band was unreliable! We booked them without a contract which made me nervous. We also booked them kind of under the table which made me nervous. The lead band memember changed his cell number without letting us know, so I kept calling his old number with no luck! He also went on vacation the week I decided to stalk him with no luck (obvi because I was insane and he was on vacation lol)!

It all ended up working out. The one issue was that the band didn't know how to play our mother son, father daughter dance songs. We burnt them to a CD and the CD kept skipping! He wound up playing an Elvis song suitable for both and we shared the dance floor. The band felt horible and played longer sets plus he got the entire crowd up and singing to a Boston favorite, "Sweet Caroline".

Sooooo with all of that said....Things are going to happen that are out of your control. Roll with the punches and try not to let those things bother you! I know I know easier said than done!

1.  What are you most stressed about when it comes to your wedding planning?

I get a bit freaked that not everything's going to be done in time, and part of that comes from my grandmother's anxiety.

2.  What are you most worried about when it comes to your actual wedding day?

I'm worried about the something that will go wrong, since something always does at weddings.  I'm concerned that FH's family is going to start an argument over something stupid.  I'm concerned that one of FH's friends (a former friend of mine) is going to say something stupid to me or my grandparents.

3.  What do you do to de-stress?

Zone out on the computer or just listen to music.  Taking a walk around the neighborhood while cranking my walking music playlist is good, too.

1.  What are you most stressed about when it comes to your wedding planning?

Time!!! I swear to goodness that little ticker that I installed on my bio is faking me out...it can't really only be 5 months and 22 days until my wedding, can it?!?! Yes. And I don't even have the save-the-dates out yet. I feel like I will never see the end of my "to do" list!

2.  What are you most worried about when it comes to your actual wedding day?

I'm worried that I will be rushed, caught up a whirwind of activity, and that it will all go by in a blur. I want so much to be fully present in the moment that day, to slow down, take time to sleep in, get pampered, laugh, love, and enjoy every moment and feeling. I pray to God that that is the one day I'm not rushing anywhere or behind schedule. I'm so glad we're having a 6pm ceremony, I think it will really help with this.

3.  What do you do to de-stress?

Take a bath. Read a book. Dance. Bake some cookies. Play a game. Laugh.

1. What are you most stressed about when it comes to your wedding planning?

Most stressed about finding people/services willing to work on Christmas Eve. That FI & I will be doing all the planning ourselves, because it is going to be a surprise, (but I also find this the fun part). That I can't vent with my girlfriends or get their input on any of the planning. Will we be able to keep it a secret? Will we be able to convince people to come? Also that I want to still make Christmas special for our children & family. Will anyone be mad that we did it as a surprise?

2. What are you most worried about when it comes to your actual wedding day?

If FI ex-wife will get up to any of her antics & admit herself to the mental hospital I'm not joking...lol.

3. What do you do to de-stress?

I have dance class two times a week. Talk to FI & let him know what I'm worried about. Make sure to have some girl time which includes wine of course.

1.  What are you most stressed about when it comes to your wedding planning? As of right now I would have to say money. I didn't realize how much everything costs until I actually started looking and it got me nervous. I'm a full-time student and have no savings.

2.  What are you most worried about when it comes to your actual wedding day? That I will be so nervous/wound up that I won't be actually able to enjoy it. I just want to have fun and take in every single second of the day.

3.  What do you do to de-stress? Take a bath, work out, have a glass of wine, think of all the fun stuff :)

1.  What are you most stressed about when it comes to your wedding planning?

I'm stressed about all the things I hired vendors for ... lol. I'm a control freak, so I LOVE DIYs. Hiring someone, no matter how much I trust them, means not really knowing what the end result will be, and also not knowing if they understand my overall vision 100%.

2.  What are you most worried about when it comes to your actual wedding day?

The set up process. We have a pretty big set up (hanging DIY chiffon drapes), and we have a DOC and lots of uncles and cousins, but I just hope it gets done, and correctly. (See, control freak.)

3.  What do you do to de-stress?

Lately, lots of yoga. I have fallen in love with yoga. Also, making lists.

Wow, isn't it somewhat reassuring to hear that you're not alone in all the worries and stresses of wedding planning?  Ladies, we are totally NORMAL in all of this.  lol

That being said, let's just keep believing that everything will fall into place.  Whether we feel like we're racing against time, or battling it out with vendors or wondering how the heck we're going to scrounge up the money for this and that, I totally believe that we'll get through it.  :)

STAY POSITIVE, ladies and know that you're not alone in all of this.  <3

1.  What are you most stressed about when it comes to your wedding planning?

Running out of money! Honestly, I'm just worried that everything WON'T run smoothly. I really don't want any drama. Especially when FI and I are doing EVERYTHING including the decor set up and such.

2.  What are you most worried about when it comes to your actual wedding day?

The photograher. She's excellent, but I'm worried about the outcome because I can't get those moments back.

3.  What do you do to de-stress?

Read with a glass of wine or play board games with my children. I love the laughing, it's great medicine!

Kristina, I think that's a really common worry for us brides!  You'll get through this wedding planning with tonnes of grace and style - I just know it!  ;)  Hang in there girl and in the meantime, vent away!
