RECAP: Legentry's Gender Reveal Party!
We had sooooo much fun at our gender reveal party, which I'm shamefully JUST now posting. We held it a month ago for my 25th birthday weekend and Mother's Day. I got the BEST birthday/Mother's Day present I could have ever asked for. :)
Each guest had to wear their vote for the gender:
We served finger foods that incorporated my cravings. I was in HEAVEN!
Beckham's Blueberry Punch and Olivia's Pink Melonade (after our boy/girl names we chose):
Mustache and lip straws :)
Baby Shaver's ultrasound pics (minus the one with the gender on it because the ultrasound tech sealed it in an envelope to give to the baker...it was TORTURE resisting the urge to open it for a week!)
The cake that would reveal all:
Playing the Old Wives' Tale Game...we had about 18 guests and each one got a slip of paper with an old wives' tale on it. Each guest had a pregnancy symptom/behavior on it to guess if we were having a boy or a girl. Ex: Craving sweets (girl) or craving salty (boy).
My dad made up his own..."If both of the baby's grandfathers are bald, the baby will be bald." (The men in our family don't hold onto hair past 30 years old. haha)
Girl won by one point! (Proof that these silly old wives' tales don't work but still so much fun!!!)
And Baby Shaver is a...
GIRL!!! Olivia Annalee will be arriving in September :) I SCREAMED I was so happy!
Grandpa Shaver changed his vote at the last minute, and Grandma Shaver already had cute, frilly girl clothes ready to give us. Yay!
And then the mustache shenanigans began... (there were tons of pics of this but I can't even begin to post them all)
All-in-all, Baby Shaver's gender reveal party was a total success! :)
