Reception Entertainment

As I woke up this morning, an idea came to me. I was thinking about having playing cards and possibly poker chips available at a couple of the tables at my reception. Reason: I noticed that at all the weddings I've been to, there are always the people who aren't comfortable dancing and are biding their time to leave the reception. My family loves to play cards and I thought it might be a way for people to entertain themselves and possibly get to know one another. It brings back a lot of fun memories and it is very representative of my family.

Is this a good idea, or is it only going to create a distraction?

I think it's a great idea!! Could someone bring them out after the special dances though (first dance, father-daughter,etc.) so people aren't distracted?

Cool! Could you work poker/cards into your theme elsewhere as well? What about personalized playing cards with your wedding info as favors?
