Recommend some make-up

I don't wear foundation, ever. The last time I did was over Christmas!!

So, I always used Clinique when I was younger but I don't really want to spend that much money just for one day. I still use their mascara and moisturiser.

Does anyone have a good foundation suggestion?

I do not wear makeup that often so I just go to target or cvs and buy wet and wild or NYC brand I have had no issues with these brands and they are usually less than $5. That was probably not helpful......lol

Thank you zeuster!

I've been looking at reviews for CoverGirl and L'Oreal etc and none of them really stand out so I'm hoping a lovely PW lady will tell me about a hidden treasure!!

Since I am not a "makeup"  person I don't believe on spending a lot of $$$$ on it if you read ingredients basically they are the same but the expensive ones will put something fancy in it to justify the price. As long as my face doesn't break out from the cheap stuff then I am fine with it.

If you have a pretty good complextion to begin with, you might want to go with BB cream and a colored press powder over that. Make sure you get one that's oil free, and also get a primer to put on under that, it helps reduce the shine on your face for photos.

Otherwise, for heavier coverage I'm a fan of TrueMatch and Bare Minerals, depending on if you want liquid or powder.

I personally would not recommend Bare Minerals since it has SPF in it. SPF has titanium dioxide, which does not photograph well. It will reflect any camera flashes and give you a white cast in pictures.

Also, I wouldn't recommend a BB Cream, especially if you have oily skin since it is really just another form of a tinted moisturizer and it won't last throughout a long wedding day. Also, they can contain SPF.

If you're looking for a less expensive drugstore foundation, I would try Revlon Colorstay. They have formula's for oily skin and dry skin and it has a low SPF, good color range, good finish and it's long-wearing. Best way I've found to apply this foundation is to use your fingers or a beauty blender sponge.

And the other posts are right, it's really important to prep your skin correctly. Even if you have dry skin, you should use a good moisturizer WITH a good matte hydrator on top of that before foundation. Clinique makes a really good matte hydrator.
