Rehearsal Dinner

Howdy!

Rehearsal Dinner - Did you have one? Do you have  too?

Suppose the wedding expenses are all on the bride and groom, must we consider a rehearsal dinner?

Definately a nice touch but not sure abt it.

I don't think its a requirement. I think alot of people do have rehearsal dinner.  You don't need to anything fancy.........a simple bbq, what about a potluck? Do you have family that can help? A few simple ideas

Pasta, salad, garlic bread

chips, salsa, salad, enchaldas, beans and rice

pizza, salad,

when all else fails potluck, I have been to potluck baby shower, wedding shower, wedding receptions, graduations etc.......

hope this helps

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll consider it but still think it'll probably fall on us...our wedding date is next september so maybe i can make it a bbq but then again i'd prefer it to be in aug. I haven't selected my venue yet, but I wanted to be on premises the night before just in case.

does the rehearsal dinner have to be the night before the wedding?

We aren't doing a rehearsal dinner. We are doing a gathering two days before the wedding. It will be a BBQ at my FIs grandmother's cabin at the creek. That is also the night we are going out for our bachelor/bachelorette nights as well. the day and night before our wedding is going to be too busy to make sure all last minute things are in place and we need a clear head. We are also paying for our wedding as well. I think his grandmother will offer to do the BBQ but we will see

Good luck KimandByron.

Do you plan to spend the night before w/ him?

My thoughts were not to spend the night before w/ my H2B(hubby to be)...lol. Another reason why I wanted to be on premises.

Plans will probably change though, b/c I've yet to find a place.

We actually just had a bqq at my parent's house with the bridal party and parents. It was really nice to have an intimate gathering with those I love the most.
