Rehearsal Dinner Invites

I know I have seen invitations for rehearsal dinners. Part of me wants to do this, but part of me thinks that I could use the money somewhere else. Is this necessary? Is evite an ok alternative?

Hi Cari - We're skipping the invitations. FI and I will call them instead but then we're really having a small wedding.

We did evites for the rehearsal dinner since it's just amoung close family and freinds. It's free and convenient.

I think we may do formal invites for those that are farther away and just contact others ourselves that are nearby in person or by email.

I think we may just fine some really cute blank cards and handwrite the invites...or make up a hot flyer to be sent out...we are only having about 25 people....so it wont be that costly.

You can get some cute paper by the sheet at Michael's and print up your own. Target also has some. Get a stack of envelopes and voila! Instant invites!

Target also has some cute "fill-in-the-blank" type invites.

When I was married the first time our rehearsal dinner was for FIFTY people! So we issued printed invites with maps and rsvp cards.

If you having 25 or less, you can do word-of-mouth, evite or a simple postcard/printed card.

Wow Lori - that is a huge dinner, I bet it was fun!

We're including a smaller invite with a little envelope of its own inside the bigger enveloped invite. This way it comes in one neat package and people are less likely to be confused on dates and things because they associate everything with your wedding.

We're probably going to skip the invites and just do word of mouth or maybe Evites or use our wedding website. We'd rather save the money for something else!
