Rehearsal question

We met with our officiant on Sunday and he said something about timing our ceremony with the music at the rehearsal...I had never thought of this. Our DJ will be at another wedding that night. Is this necessary?? I just figured if he knew what to play at which part he'd know what to do. Help please!

I was in a wedding two weeks ago and we did the rehearsal, without, the dj. However, the dj supplied the bride with a cd of the ceremony music. The bride just played the songs a little so we knew what to listen for. I am sure uour dj can do the same. Also, as long as you hace a friend or.family.member to direct peopleit will all go perfectly! There is absolutley no need have the dj there for rehearsal.

Same here. I was in a wedding a couple weeks ago, and we didn't have any music during the rehearsal. As long as your have a DOC or family friends directing people, it should be fine. Also, make sure the bridal party knows what song they're walking to.

We didn't use the DJ at the rehersal either.... we used the time at the rehersal to make sure everyone knew where they were standing, ect...

We didn't have music during our rehearsah and trusted the dj to do his job and play the right song at the right time. And he did. :) And we also had a DOC directing each person.

Ditto the other ladies - we didn't rehearse timing our ceremony music during the rehearsal and I don't think it's a common practice (although I could be wrong?).  Our organist and soloist had rehearsed on their own with a detailed outline of the songs, so we didn't even think of including a run-through of the music during the rehearsal.  If you trust that whomever is in charge of the music will do their job properly, then you should be okay.  I think your officiant is just making sure that you cover all grounds.  ;)

Ok this is what I thought. And I double checked with our coordinator who works with our DJ a ton and she said we'd be fine. She will cue us and the DJ will know when to play the songs we've chosen.
