Return of the Acne........ Help!

I have had acne forever and ever. I had my first pimple in kidergarten lol. It comes and goes. But recently i has been horrible. I'm sure most of is stress and the fact that i always have my hands on my face.....I dont want this look on my wedding day. I havent tried any cleansers or over the counter products in years. Proactive is useless. I dont have time to go to a dermatologist. Any of you ladies know any GOOD products i can try? I have super oily skin and i dont moisturize if that helps??

Honestly, it may be time to make time for a dermatologist. Many will even help specifically for a wedding at a lower cost, if you don't have insurance.

Otherwise, I would recommend a facial, though well in advance of your wedding, and beginning a facial routine. I have a friend with similar sounding skin issues and her dermatologist recommended a professional facial.

Many beauty schools will do these for less than a spa, but some salons will also have them for lower prices at specific times, or if you go to their website.

Good luck!

I also have bad acne at times. *Sigh* I use a face wash, it works alright but I need to get a good moisturizer because my face gets really dry after it.

I'll have to look what its called when I get home.

I love getting facials! I think that's a good (more pricey) option of keeping skin nice and clear!

A product that DH and I use (he uses it more regularly...I just use it if I have a bad breakout of something like that) is Clearsil Rapid Action Treatmen Cream:

It's basically a 10% benzoyl peroxide spot treatment. It could dry out your skin depending on your sensitivity and what not (that's why aggie's suggestion about a derm is a smart idea) but this is like $10 and it helps to clear up skin! GL!

What I have been using and I did a post once about this is Baking Soda! yup, I use it as a scrub and my skin looks really good now...I put a little on my hand a little water and srub it on my face then rinse off with warm water after I just apply moisturizer....I used to do it daily but now just once a week.

Thanks Uhlease! I will try it i have been looking online at reviews but i cant seem to find much. I tend to want to lean towards natural remidies because my skin is ultra sensitive. I used to use lemom juice and organic sugar as a scrub but i dont know if it truly made a difference. I have tried baking soda once i think?? Its good for inflammation. I have had terrible acne.......and when i was like 12-18 omg it was scary! Its a not better now but its mostly along my jaw line on each side and around my mouth and nose. If you all seen me without makeup u wouldnt recognize me.

I have terribly oils skin i wash my face with yogurt and lemmon juice. My daughter has bacterial acne and this is the only thing that helps her. We did not want her to take meds and proactive made her eczema worse. It is cheap so worth a shot oh get the sugar free fat free yogurt and fresh lemmon juice a bout a table spoon juice to a 1/4 cup yogurt

DH also use the Clerasil Rapid action + a peeling and wash lotion from Garnier Pure active. He had acne since he's 13 and additionally to the products below he goes to the dermatologist two times a year to get a special face cream and pure alcohol to clean his face.

Cetaphil works really well!!! also try washing your face with black soap if you want to go the more natural route. I've tried any and everything and cetaphil and black soap work the best! also, Queen Helene mint julep masque works too! you can put it on and sleep with it.. also drink lots and lots of water!
