ring bearer?

Are you have a ring bearer? FI and I don't know any boys that are the right age so we're thinking of just having the best man hold the rings. Or maybe we can have a friend's son be the ring bearer... is that ok if you don't know the friend that well?

We had a ring bearer. It was DH's 4-year-old nephew. We tied FAKE rings on the seashell that he was holding, and the best man had the REAL rings. I would never trust a 4-year-old with our rings!

My 3 year old nephew will be the RB - but he'll have fake plastic rings. No way we'd trust him with the real rings!

Our ring bearer will only be 16 months old, so there's no way he's holding the real rings. Since both his parents are in the wedding party, we're thinking of not even giving him a pillow to hold and just having him walk down the isle with his mom and dad on either side. I think it'll be adorable.

I think traditionally, the best man holds the rings anyway... regardless if there is a ring bearer or not.

As far as a flower girl, we, don't know anyone old enough to do it. So, we're just not going to have one.

Our "ring bearers" will be my sister in law and her husband. No kids at our wedding

My nephew will be our ring bearer. He will only be 18 months old. we might have his sister, our flower girl, pull him in a little red wagon with the pillow. It's still up in the air.

We probably won't have a ring bearer because we don't know anyone around that age. We might have my two nieces be the flower though. Like Soon2bwilcox mentioned, they'll probably be pulled in a red wagon.

If you are desperately in need of a ring bearer, I'd ask your friend's son. There is no hard rule for a ring bearer.

The best man idea will work fine. Its your wedding. I'd say only ask people to be in the wedding who you know well. Make it more personable.

We had a RB. Our nephew, who was 2 at the time. He had fake rings on the pillow and our Best Man had the real ones. He actually wouldn't walk himself or the pillow. His mom held the pillow in 1 hand & his hand in the other and walked down along side the FG.

We actually had a hard time finding little girls and I thought about some friends' daughters who weren't as close to us. Finally, I decided to pick a friend's daughter (but this friend was closer than the others I was thinking about).
