RSVP frustration

Hey ladies. So this is a mini vent/question post. When we ordered invitations, I specifically was looking for RSVP cards that said "Please initial the entree choice for each guest" since we have to color coordinate the place cards for the venue. I specifically wanted to know which guest wanted what so there would be no confusion the day of the wedding (sometimes people will forget what they said they wanted and then the numbers of entrees are messed up). SO after all of this, people are STILL RSVPing by just checking the entrees. I guess it's not a big deal but it frustrates me! So do I just guess which guest had which entree and then if it's wrong they can just switch?? Also, some people RSVPed with their name and said 2 attending but did not put their guest's name on the card. What do I do in this case? Should I just ask them what their guest's name is? I didn't think this would be so complicated..

RSVP's were the worst. I would call those who didn't name the dates and just explain that it's for their seating card. I would also call the ones I'm confused on for the food though I'm sure they would switch if they got the wrong one. Sometimes people share too.

I think this is the one thing I am NOT looking forward to. I agree with tnt1989 I would call them.

I have to admit that that was one of my nightmares too.  Sorry that they are causing you problems!  (((hugs)))

Ugh.  The dreaded RSVPs.  :/  Don't worry though!!!  I'm with Tiff - if you've got the time to call (or better yet, if you have someone who can help you with this if you're too bogged down with other details!), clarify with your guests to avoid headaches/confusion on your wedding day.  It might be a bit of a hassle that guests aren't making things as clear as you were expecting them to, but it happens regardless of how clear your instructions are!  Don't stress out - it happens to all of us!  You'll get through it!!  :)

Ugh, I am dreading this. Luckily I don't have to deal with seating arrangements or entree choices (having a buffet)...so that should make it a little less stressful.

But still, I know it's going to drive me insane that people won't send them in on time or some people won't send them back at all!!! :-O

RSVP's are the worst. So happy that majority of my guest mailed them back.
