This blue material for this heart was cut from one of my father's old shirts and it is embroidered with his initials. He passed away five years ago, so this was a very special way for me to keep him close on our special day.

Here is the budget breakdown, if anyone is interested. It is tough working with a small budget, but it really is possible. I hope I can be of some inspiration to those brides who are recently engaged and feel defeated because they cannot afford the wedding of their dreams. I was in that place not very long ago, but with a little creativity, a lot of diy projects, and a lot of love you can really pull off something better than you first dreamed. :)

Budget (planned for 150 guests; 110 actually attended): $4,883.77

Venue: (Included the use of entire lodge, including 6 bedrooms, catering kitchen, bar area, and inground pool from Thursday evening through Sunday evening--no staff included) $1,000

Photographer: (Included 8 hours of photography with a second shooter-- images on a high resolution disc, no prints) $500

Cake/Pies: (cake was $135 including delivery- 5 cream pies were $50 -- my mom made the 5 fruit pies, so cost isn't included) $185

Cake Topper: (Adorable-- from mudcards on etsy) $105

Food (included a spring mix salad, fried chicken, fried fish, homemade mac and cheese, baked potato salad, baked beans, country biscuits, honey butter and regular butter, sweet tea, unsweet tea, and lemonade): $632

Marriage License: $59

Paper Products: (webstaurant store online: includes plastic champagne flues, clear plastic plates for salad and dessert, plastic ice cream cups, linen like napkins, eco friendly wooden spoons and forks--all for at least 150 guests) $182.67

Beer (includes a pony-keg of Amber Bock -- a friend also ordered a full keg of bud light as a wedding gift): $66.87

Wine/Champagne (12 bottles of assorted local fruit wines, 12 bottles of a local red, 12 bottles of a local white, 10 Magnum bottles of Verdi Spumante Sparkling Wine):$438.70

Flowers: (ordered through samsclub.com- 600 sunflowers and 3 big orders of assorted wildflowers) $309.57

Table/Chair Rental: (includes renting 9 8-ft tables and 80 chairs) $152.06

Décor: $358.67(Candles and Candle Holders, Tiki Torches, Christmas Lights, Chalkboard Contact Paper, Chalk Pens, Mason Jar Drinking glasses, Tulle, Flowers for Napkin Rings, dried lavender for tossing)

Dress: (on sale at thelimited.com$133.80

Brides Accessories: (Earings, Customized Hanger, and Locket) $82.97 (Boots were my own and bracelet was borrowed from a friend)

Alterations: (Included adding straps and a new sash, adding a bustle, taking in the top of the dress, and sewing on the heart from my dads shirt) $150

Groom’s Attire: (Included a new pair of Levis, a shirt and tie, and rental of a jacket-- boots were his own) $89.68

Save the Date: (Printed at Vistaprint-postcards) $41.98

Invitations/ Envelopes: (printed at catprint- kraft paper envelopes from Amazon.com) $143

Postage: (for save the dates and invitations) $52.80

Waitstaff: $200

*Our family/friends were great and really helped us out with the following: Borrow Hay Bales, Haul Hay, Cater food, Band at reception, Keg of Beer, Favors, made garter, allowed us to borrow glass plates and silverware for dinner

Your reception is absolutely beautiful.  Do you mind me asking where you bought the mason jars for drinks?  And what were the favors?

Again--absolutely stunning!

Thanks ladies!

Notanne10: We bought our drinking jars at Big Lots on sale and our favors were homemade apple pie jam, cherry preserves, and strawberry syrup.
