Sams Club's Flowers?

i donot have a favorite flower, nor am i basing my wedding off of flowers. so i wanted to go as cheap as humanly possibly with flowers. my vision was for me carry a purple bouquet, and the girls carry a white bouquet(they are wearing purple). no particular flowers in that vision, just colors. so i found at samsclub.com, they have a 17pc white rose package for $300. 1 bridal bouquet, 4BM, 1 toss, 6 boutts, 4 cors, and petals to toss. sounded like a pretty good deal to me! the only issue: who in their right mind orders flowers online?! the review are great, but as much as i rely on reviews, i never completely trust them haha. i wouldnt have a purple bouquet, but that really honestly, wont bother me. the ONLY reason we are doing bouquetes in general, is because i cant come up with a more creative thing for us to carry! so my question is, has any one successfully ordered flowers in this magnitude online?? TIA

I ordered my roses (and hydrangeas) from there.  I was really pleased with them.  Here's a pic of them before they were arranged:

We did silk flowers from michaels. It was a sinch to get them all together. With the spring collection still in I am betting that you could talk to the florist they have handy to help give you ideas for a purple bouquet. My aunt said that when she got married all the bm's carried lanterns with a little candle in them. The pictures were really pretty.

A lot of people order their flowers from Sams Club or Costco. It seems different, but I've heard very good things! And you really can't beat that price!

thanks ladies! the lantern is a cute idea, esp because we are campers! but we are having an 11am wedding, so that miiiight look a little funny!  i have also been looking at michaels silk flower selection, so that is deffinatly another option. i just reallly like how sams club came with bouts and corsages, because they seem harder to DIY then bouquets!

People have definitely ordered online! I suspect that if you run a search for sam's club flowers on this site, you'll find quite a few old threads about it. :)

e.g. http://www.projectwedding.com/post/list/sams-club-flowers-2

I was thinking of going through them myself before I decided to just go to the local wholesaler. But I've heard great things about Sam's Club!

I read a review on weddingbee.com about sam's club flowers. A bride ordered white roses for her wedding and they did not turn out too good. She said that if she was picky about flowers she would have been pretty ticked off about them but she didn't really care and they were okay, not good, just okay and she just used them anyway. A lot of the rose heads were broken off of the stems and they didn't open up as much as she would have liked and a lot of them were wilted.

I think that you'll probably find more good reviews than bad for sam's club flowers. I would also check the prices from local florists and grocery stores. You can call walmart and order flowers in bulk through their produce department. And my mom ordered carnations in bulk through a florist for a hospital fundraiser one time and the price was very reasonable.

"reasonably" priced bouquets from local florists in my area (philadelphia suburbs) start at $75 for BM and around $100 for brides. i REFUSEEE to spend that much money on flowers! if i didnt love my dress so much, and wanted people to see it, id jsut carry our daughter down the aisle so i had something in my hands haha.

I am getting mine from - get this - KROGER.  I buy roses every Wednesday from Kroger and the florist is great!  I love when they have a dozen for like 5.00.  I refuse to pay a lot for flowers either although I love them.  My cake baker is getting the roses from my cake from Sam's club and from the pictures she has shown me of other cakes, they are beautiful.

Oh, KplusD, you are just like me 8 months ago.  Totally with you!

I ordered mine online from Costco and was extremely happy with it.  Pls see my full review for the complete story.  You can also see the pics I posted of the wedding flowers under my profile page.

The review process on PW is not very intuitive - so I ended up posting my review 2x and one shows up I think on Costco, Gilbert (???).

Bouts were actually a lot easier to make than I thought. I had perfected it down to a science after 2 and was able to make 13 of them in under an hour! Just watch a few videos on youtube and it's pretty easy to pick up. The corsages though were a lot harder Those are the one thing that we are getting done professionally.
