Screaming

So DD is 7 months old and has entered a phase of screaming non-stop. I don't mean a cry scream either this is a very loud throaty scream. I swear she is going to hurt her throat sometimes. We were sitting in the middle of church yesterday, it was silent and she let out one of these blood curdling screams I was so embarrassed (fortunately we were in the family room so everyone understood)

Did anyone elses LO go through this stage? Please tell me it did not last long. Now that she found her voice we spend about 75% of our day with her screaming...

GEorgia is 4.5 months and has hit this as well.  It just seems to be how she "talks".  I wish I had some advice...this is new to us too!   We can hang in there together!

Aubrey has always been a talker, and starting a couple of months ago she would occasionallyscream, which always seemed to scare her. But now over the last few weeks it is nonstop. At least I have someone else to commiserate with :) oh yeah and it is better than the crying screaming, she is doing it with a big smile on her face

Sophie's been doing this for a while--she only seems to do it when we're out in public places.  She's pretty loud!

My son was a huge screamer! He did it to see how loud he could get and he did it because we would react. I think it started around 9 months and only just recently stopped at 18 months. He even taught Cari's LO how to scream too. :-) Thankfully, everywhere we went people were understanding and many thought it was funny. But it was pretty obvious that he was just being happy and screamy and not crying. And it was still embarassing.

In the end, we found that if he screamed at home, we tried our best to ignore it and not react. We hoped that he would realize that since it didn't produce a reaction, he'd get bored with it. It worked, but it took a while. :-)

Omg my friends boy was an insane screamer. I felt so bad for them. I think he finally stopped when he turned two. It was horrific. Everywhere we went he'd yell bloody murder. They hardly went out at all. Hope Aubrey outgrows it really quickly!

Oh no Kiptpn just started this this week I was hoping it was just his teeth coming in but now im worried. He screamed all day today and to be fair a tooth broke through this morning and the Dr. said he has 4 all ready to pop so its got to hurt, but its the loudest most horrific sound I have ever heard. My head hurts so bad tonight :(

DD was doing this for awhile but now she is more talky and learned other sounds. I was in a Home Depot and heard her scream from across the store. It was kinda a cute scream though and I just would laugh it off. Teething screams are much different and not so funny. I hate everything about teething!

Oh goodness I hope this doesn't last until she is 2, that is a long time! This definitely is a happy scream, not an upset or teething scream. I admit half the time it just makes me sit there and crack up. I have to turn away so she doesn't see me react. The big smile and the giggle afternwards are just to funny. I can see though that this cuteness is going to ware of, and probably sooner rather than later...
