Seriously....

Hi there.  I saw on dressiliyme.com's facebook page that they pay folks to write reviews--presumably positive ones.  So it's poll time.  How many of you received payment to write reviews. Be honest.

I can't believe I'm actually considering purchasing a dress from this site, especially after reading hundreds of threads about nightmare-ish experiences regarding Chinese knock-off sites.

My dress journey has been an interesting one thus far.  I've already purchased the Mori Lee 6706 dress and started having second thoughts and nightmares about it.  Insane, I know.  I'm probably being completely over the top, which if you knew me, you would know how very unlike me that is.  At any rate, Mama bought the first one, and when I broke the news that I would probably be selling it, I was cut off, understandably.  So, I'm broke.  This site looks like my answer, but it's just too dang good to be true.  I would just like some HONEST feedback, preferably not from folks employed by DressilyMe.com and also not from paid off folks.

Thanks so much!!

k.  Disregard this post.  Evidently, I'm unable to post links till I've posted twice.  So I'm officially posting twice.

Also, has anyone ordered any of these dresses from dressilyme?  Or really ANY all over lace dresses.  I'm just wondering about the quality of the lace.

I would love some feedback and definitely photos.  They won't send me any photos of dresses they've completed in any of these styles!!  They claimed that they're "very hot styles" and the dressmakers have "made them many times."  So, it seems to me that there would be MANY photos that they've sent out to brides before they ship the dress.  Right?  Super frustrating.  I'm having doubts already.

Well on this site you can see the ladies wearing their dresses on their wedding day so you know they are not on a payroll.

If you search the boards you will find many stories of brides that were very happy with their dresses.

Mine was a lace dress, you can see photos here

Hiya,

Just posting as a happy customer of dressilyme who did not receive any payment. I know from experience that it is hard to know whether to trust reviews when researching for a dress from China. I was caught out by another vendor (via ebay) before going to dressilyme, but luckily got the money back through paypal.

When I was researching, I found the most useful source was from people posting wedding pictures, because they must surely be real, unlike easily faked stock photos. Also, payment or no payment, no one is going to wear a bad dress on their wedding day! There are plenty of pictures of dressilyme dresses being worn at real weddings on his website. I think you can safely assume that these people are legitimately happy with their dresses. I am one of these and you can see my dress if you follow this link.

Of course, there is always a slight risk when buying a dress you can't see or try on, but this was definitely the right decision for me.

Good luck, whatever you decide to do

Well I'm a real customer and I haven't been paid lol I loved my expereience. It was probably the best way for ME to go. We didn't have a huge budget and the dress I wanted was $800. I got this for under $300. I only wore it twice (ceremony and reception were different days as my ceremony was a destination wedding) so it was a good deal for my situation!

@leni8, your dress is almost EXACTLY what I'm considering!!  The other thing I'm extremely concerned about is that if you order a custom design or size, they won't return it.  (Gulp.)  No pressure.

Both of your dresses turned out very beautiful.  Maybe I'll just go for it.  Dang, I'm terrified.  I think I'm most scared that they will send nothing at all.  I don't really have any recourse.  If there're no funds in their PayPal account, I've heard I will get no refund.

I've read that most designer dresses are made in China, so whatevs.  PHew..I think I'm going to do it.

Turn around time seems to be about a month, right?

I sent measurements for mine (measured myself which is apparently a bit risky) and it was exactly the right size. I slightly adjusted the way the material lies over the shoulders and bust, but no other adjustments were needed. Having a corset back helps because it lets you make the dress tighter or looser as needed, so the measurements don't need to be so exact. But the length was also perfect.
