Share Side Dish Recipies for Labor Day BBQ's

We're going to a BBQ on Sunday and were told to bring a side dish to share.  In light of all Labor Day BBQ's, share some of your fav. 'BYOD' recipies (Bring Your Own Dish).

I thought about potato salad, but really?  No.  Because 8 other girls will do potato salad!

I'm thinking something yummy, perhaps colorful, and different.  Think, easy to transport, pallate friendly (for picky eaters), and 'goes well with overcooked burgers'.

TIA!

I love Asian Slaw.  It's delicious and mayo-free, so it doesn't spoil so quick at a BBQ.  Here's a recipe I got from a friend:

1 bag coleslaw mix (cabbage and carrots)

1 bag broccoli slaw mix

8 green onions, chopped

3 packages beef Ramen noodles, crushed, save the seasoning packets

1 can cashews

3/4 cup sunflower kernels

1 1/2 cups veg. oil

1/3 cup vinegar, vary depending on taste

3/4 cup sugar

1 tsp salt

**3 seasoning packets from noodles

Mix dressing ingredients together and pour over vegetables, and refrigerate 2-4 hours or overnight.

Toast noodles, cashews, and sunflower kernels on sheet pan in oven, WATCH CLOSELY, they burn quickly if you don't shake them around occasionally.

**I wait to toss the "crunchies" in right before I serve it.**
