She doesn't like fruit!

DD is a huuuge fan of eating grown-up foods now, she chows down on just about anything you put in front of her! Except fruit. She absolutely won't eat it. She'll spit it out as soon as it's in her mouth... And it doesn't matter what form the fruit is in! Solid, mashed, even jelly/jam is offensive to her! She loves all of her veggies (except corn and lima beans), so thankfully I can give her those and she gets lots of vitamins and such from those, but I find it to be so weird that she won't eat fruit. It's not b/c it's sweet either, she'll eat dessert foods... Has anybody else had their kiddo do this? Did they ever grow out of it?

What kind of fruit are you giving her?  Maybe try something sweeter like a really ripe mango or something more tart like fresh strawberries?

Not sure :)  Bumping up for the other mamas!

I've tried bananas, apples, pineapples, all kinds of berries (she tolerated blueberries, but only about 2 before she stopped altogether), oranges, etc... Haven't tried a mango yet though! Might have to give that a shot :) thanks!

I am sure you cooked the apples - but I just wanted to add that my niece wasn't a big fruit person because she didn't like the texture (I think the veggies tended to be more smooth) - but if my sister cooked certain ones and then purred them super well she would eat them. You could also try mixing them with veggies. I know your LO is older, so maybe something like an apple coleslaw or something like that?

my 1st DS would not eat fruit either he was very funny with fruit, i would not stress, my ODS is now 4 1/2yrs & there is no food he wont eat loves fruit & veg.

LDS eats fruit he loves it banana, apple, watermelon, rockmelon (not so much) grapes. just keep offering her them in time she will just eat it im sure, especially if she see's u & ur DH eating them.

p.s i dont cook or mash the fruits for Levi i just cut the skin's off & give him hand size bit's to eat...

DS never ate fruit until he was older! He was the biggest veggie fan there ever was! His favorites where peas and green beans! I wasn't worried about his nutrition though since he still nursed on demand.

Some kids just don't like fruits I guess, keep tryiing diferent things and see how she likes them but don't worry so much if she just plain won't eat them!
