shoes

I think we have a million shoe topics here, but I don't remember anyone looking for what I am =) (link me if otherwise!)

I'm tall- 5'10 Lucky for me I don't need my dress to be altered, but it also means I will be in flats on the wedding day (fine by me) What I'm envisioning is SO simple but SO hard to find! I want white flip flops- really comfy ones- with clear crystals on the straps. I have looked up and down and all around and nothing looks like I'm picturing in my head. I MAY end up getting some plain ones and DIY'ing the sun stuff myself (headed to some stores on my lunch break in fact) Has anyone found something similar already?

I want an open shoe, it's going to be a warm/hot day in a garden so none of those cute satin wedding slippers. Do you think flip flops would be a bad idea though? I just picture me coming down the stairs & aisle making "flap flap flap flap" sounds. hehe thoughts? help?

I think these would be pretty bridal thongs:

But I would be a little concerned about the flapping sound that most flip-flops make (although it would probably be muffled by your skirt). Also, you also want something that will stay on your feet, because you're going to be running around a lot. Just to be safe, maybe you should consider something with an ankle strap, like these:

Payless, I never would have thought to look there! haha

I really have issues with the backstrap shoes. I think they look awful. Maybe I'm crazy but they remind me of the sandals I used to wear when I was 5. And I know people aren't going to see them, but I kind of love the pics where the bride is lifting her dress and flashing her adorable/comfy shoes. KWIM? And I wouldn't like doing that with the back strap shoes. Hmmmmm

Thanks again for the ideas, I shall keep searching! I guess if all else fails I could use some back-strap shoes for the walk down the aisle, and switch to some fun flippies for the rest of the day.

Banana Republic! I know, they're super-cute. And you could wear them again and again. Maybe you should get your thongs and then do a test-run?

Those last ones are cute but they are too tall. I need FLATS. Like, barefoot flat. =) Thanks for looking though! Maybe I'll look at VS some more, I love their stuff.

These ones from VS are pretty:

Here's another option that doesn't have a backstrap but wouldn't clop:

I saw a bunch of new jeweled flat sandals on www.piperlime.com.

As for the flip flops making noise when you walk... the ones with the strap that sits higher on your foot shouldn't make noise when you walk... ideally at least. You'd have t try them on.

Good luck!

I just got similar ones from express... check out their website, I ended up getting the silver ones today. They have both thongs and t-strap type. I opted for t-strap because I don't want the flip flop noise walking down the aisle.

Forgot to mention, they are buy 1 get 1 half off right now at express so it's not too expensive and you can get another flop for the honeymoon :)
