short dress or long??

I love all the short wedding dresses...  But if I am having a formal wedding is it ok to wear a short dress?

I agree with Canooknic--wear whatever you'd like!  Do you have some ideas on what style of dress you would like?  I know you posted your shoes in the other thread and were concerned about wearing them for a church ceremony.

Choose what you love because in the end that's all that matters :)

Ditto what the other ladies have said.  Have you started shopping for your dress?  There are a lot of gorgeous shorter length dresses out there and IMO, you can most definitely wear a short dress for a formal wedding.

There is nothing wrong in wearing short dress.. But I personally more inclined towards long gowns with long sash. I really love the way they get dragged on the floor... Its like perfect cinderella wedding. :)

I prefer a floor length dress (mine was), but I've secretly had a crush on this short Justin Alexander dress for quite some time. I think that something similar would be just fine for a formal wedding. And could show off some stunning shoes. But it's your day, and you have to pick whatever you feel beautiful in! Once you try some on, you'll know what fits in with your vision of your wedding and what doesn't.I prefer a floor photo 3418638-1

We had a relatively formal wedding, in November no less, and I wore a short dress. I would go so far as to say our wedding was semi-formal/cocktail. Check out my bio for pics of the dress!
