I'm going back and forth trying to decide whether or not to add a mermaid crinoline to my dress. What do you all think?
OMG! Look how you make a beautiful bride! This dress fits you like it was made for you! Seriously, I wouldn't change a thing. I truly love how the bottom looks on you.
It does look lovely without, but the crinoline would definitely give more volume on the bottom. It also may give the illusion of more drastic curves. Did you try it on with one?
Pavez- Awe thank you <3 Girlonfire- No, I didn't. I'm kind of kicking myself for not, haha. I found some on Ebay for $16, so I'm wondering if I should just buy one. If it looks good, AWESOME! If not, it's $16
I think the crinoline would look beautiful if you are looking for more volume for the bottom of your beautiful dress.
I'm having a hard time envisioning the dress with more volume on the bottom because it looks great as is. But you can try it and if you don't like it I'm sure you can sell it
I would wear a crinoline.
You look gorgeous!
I would definitely order one and see. I wouldn't go crazy, but a bit at the bottom would just keep the dress sitting perfectly. It also keeps the dress in front of you when you walk so you don't have to worry about it going between your legs, or tripping on it! :)
I am not a crinoline fan either. Can you take your dress somewhere and try it first before you buy it? That is my suggestion. Just like I had a tiara made and then didn't like how it looked on my little head and ended up not wearing it. You look like a dream by the way! I love the dress as is!
I couldn't decide either and then went with one after it was pointed out that the mermaids can sometimes get trapped between your legs! Mine was minimal and didn't add much to the volume (but what little it did looked nice) and just made sure I didn't get tangled up and trip...because I didn't need any more reasons to do that, I'm clumsy enough!
I am not a fan of them but you never know until you put it on because every dress is different, you will look stunning no matter what!
Did you get the crinoline? I think $16 is totally worth it! If it doesn't look good, no big deal! I would definitely try it :)
I love it just how it is!! I think the crini will take away from the gorgeous figure it gives you!!
Elise- I didn't! I didn't even THINK about the fact that mermaids get trapped between your legs.
I would add the skirt. I think it looks gorgeous as is.
Can I first just say how GORGEOUS you are?? Seriously!!! You are so *beautiful* in that dress!!!! :)
Ok... on to your question ;) I wouldn't do a crinoline - I was going to do one, but I was so darn hot in my dress that I decided against it - and I'm glad I did!! If you find a cheap one and want to try it out I would... but otherwise I wouldn't, that is just my personal opinion :) hth!
yes..wear a crinoline.. your gown wouldlookmore beautiful on you..i decided to wore crinoline on the last minute.. and spending $16 dollar?...go for it..
Ditto what Kristen said...you look BEAUTIFUL!!! Does the shop have a crini that you could try on with the dress? I might try that, but I personally think you look PERFECT without one!
I love it without the crinoline.
