I have really grown to love these things.... I'm just wondering what assortment of flowers I can use. Show em off ladies.
i think silk carnations or roses look the best - especially when you squish them tightly...
Go Green go Cheap or die!!!!! LOL Tissue paper works just as good. Then you can throw it all away and not feel bad that you just spent $20 total!!!! LOL Just me.
Marina -- Do you have directions on how to make these BEAUTIFUL tissue paper pomanders?? TIA!
Here's mine...we made them with roses the morning of the wedding. This is my BF & one of my bridesmaids making one:) It's kinda small...sorry!
Marina, I love the tissue pomanders! Please leave diy tips when you have time!
Here are mine:
I made this one out of silk flowers. I prefer fresh.. but the flower girl wanted to keep hers... I suggest to use the glue, I did not and it was falling apart.
"Marinas pomanders" LMAO
Cut paper into squares. about 5X7 (I think?)
Fan fold the paper all the way up!!!!! 4 sheets total at a time for one flower.
Tie some wire around the middle of the tissue. Kind of eye how much you need. That's something i had to play with till I got it right.
Now that the ribbon has the wire. Start pulling one of the tissue sheets up at a time. Left then Right.. Till all the tissue is lifted up individually. till it looks like a flower.
I ran out of styrophome balls to show you how to stik the flowers in. But you've got the flower on a wire.. STick the wire in the ball!!! All the way around till you have nowhere to put anymore flowers.
Did that answer the question?? I think I didn't explain myself to well. Sorry. I learned here online on this page and I did it.. So I think anyone can.
Marinag, great instructions. Thank you so much; How long did it take you to do?? it seems that it can take a long time to get that many.
it starts off time consuming. But if you just make all the folds and the wire first... that will make the actual making of the pomanders easy. Dont' make the actual pomander until you really need to. That way you don't have to worry about them getting pressed or what not. But the only time consuming thing is folding the tissue and wiring it. Everything after that goes quick!
