Simplicity Brides/Pink Apron SCAM???

Hello girls, I was wondering if any of you have received a call from Simplicity Brides or Pink Apron...they called me and told me that I had "wonderful" news and that I had won something from a Bridal Fair I had attended.  They talked soooo fast, but I swore I heard her say "after you attend a 90 minute seminar you'll get a free vacation"...I asked the lady if she said I had to attend something and she very casually said that they would be demostrating "cookware, have crystal displays and cooking demos"....I'm almost certain it's a scam, but I wanted to know if anyone else has gotten the call from them too.

No, it's not a scam.. We received the same phone call about 8 months ago.  We attended their little seminar.. Simplicity is just a cookware brand, and they try to get you to buy their stuff (it's really good stuff, really really expensive) at the presentation.. but we told them no, and were stern about it.. The crappy part is that you have to "send in" for the apron and vacation.. and for the vacation, you still have to pay the hotel tax of $50 per night, per person.  And buy your own airplane tickets.  So it's not a terrible deal, just a little more in depth that what they tell you.  HTH!
