Sizes

Hey ladies- the new dress I just fell in love with is a Maggie!!  I am ordering online as I can save some $$ that way, are the measurements pretty true??  If the website is correct, I am a 6-8.  But I am a street size 2-4.  Was it this way with you?

I ordered a 10 when I was just squeezing into a street 5. I'm now in a street 9 and my dress is way too small... so it's possible. haha.

Ok-in all of the other salons, I was a 4.  So I figured hers may run smaller or something.

That sounds right! I am a 4 and I fit perfectly in my size 6 Maggie dress. Mine is a corset back too though which allows a little give or take.

I am a street 0/2 but was advised to order a 6. I was a few pounds heavier when I was measured and now my dress is way too big! I'm sure it can be fixed but I am worried about th chest - there is wiring and since I don't fill it out, I'm looking a little 'pointy' if you know what I mean!!! Haha... I really hope it can be fixed!!!

I am a street size 12 but my dress is a 10 and it is a little bit too big.   I guess I am the exception here!

My dress is A-line though and most of my weight is in my butt/hips/thighs....

I just ordered her yesterday from a bridal salon (I was scared I would have ordered the wrong size online) in an 8- Maggie seriously doesn't leave any room for a girl with a booty in her measurements!! :)

I'm a street size 6 and after taking my measurements, the bridal boutique suggested that I order a size 6 in my gown ( The Rhianna Royale)....mainly because of my hip measurements. It's a corset back so I'm hoping it will be okay. After hearing so many brides say that they ordered bigger...i'm super nervous. My dress should be coming in sometime in February...so i'm keeping my fingers crossed that the bridal boutique was right. If not...i guess I'll be working out and dieting like crazy! LOL :)

hmmm... the hips and waist were my problem (My waist is 27, hips are 37).  The saleswoman even grabbed a size 6 sample for me to try on and it was too tight on me!  Mine is a drop waist, so that might make a difference.  which dress are you getting, hun?

I'm a street size 12, but had to order my dress in a 16...I have a whole lotta booty and hips and a tiny waist...So we will have to take it in a bunch...I wanted to be safe than sorry...The 14 fit good too however didnt leave much room. I wanted to be comfortable on my day, so I didnt worry about the size, just the PERFECT fit...

I'm a 12 and purchased either a 12 or 14. I think 14 it has a corset back, but i have room in the chest area.

I am a street size 2 and when I 1st got measured they told me to get the 8. I ended up going with a 6, and if I loose any weight I'll have to get it taken in, even with the corset back. It's hard to tell

I think you made the right choice by ordering it from a bridal salon.  The sizes are so funny, it could have ended up costing you more if you ordered on-line and then had to do a ton of alterations, or worse, order the dress again.

I got my dress from a salon and I'm a street size 18 but they got it in a 22...I wanted to cry but I know that because of my curves some areas will be perfect and some will need to be altered.
