Skipping Rehearsal?

Did anyone else skip the rehearsal? Since our venue isn't local for anyone we are contemplating not even having a rehearsal. I mean the guys all know how to stand up there and look good. All the girls know how to walk down an aisle and stand where they are suppose to stand.

Are we making a mistake if we skip the rehearsal?

I think it really depends on the venue and your ceremony. Do your girls need to practice the walk for music timing purposes? Does your venue have an obvious path you are walking (if it isn't in a church)?

We skipped a rehearsal for our wedding. We couldn't get into the venue so we opted to have a welcome party for our guests. The day of, I told my girls the order to walk in and it worked out perfectly.

For my sister's wedding we had a rehearsal for at least 90 minutes. Ran through the thing like 5 times. It was still a mess the day of because of music timing and the guys not paying attention.

I would definitely consider your wedding party and your ceremony, and make your decision from there.

I agree with @ missjess485 you think people know but they dont. Or either have a day of planner there to help get them down the aisle correctly.

may you can set up someones backyard like the ceremony and practice that way? nto a full set up but just enough for everyone to get the idea. and also you can show them pictures of where they will be walking. is everyone staying in a hotel near the venue? if so, maybe you can still have the rehearsal.

We did a rehearsal but mainly because we had young kids in the bridal party so we wanted them to see the venue and aisle etc so they wouldn't be too overwhelmed. I'm glad we did it but I don't think it's always necessary.
