SMY: Wedding Party Gifts

Show me what you gave as gifts to your wedding party? What gift did you give the women of your wedding party? How about the men?

My FI still hasn't chosen his men but he has plenty of time. I know for my girls I have already bought their necklace and earring sets for the wedding day but need ideas what else to do.

Let me first just say that I think I went overboard on gifts and could have saved myself a lot of money here :) I don't regret giving my girls something awesome as a thank you, but I've been in a bunch of weddings since my own and just got a little something as a thank-you, and I felt that was enough. At the time, I felt guilty making them travel 3 hours and pay for dresses...that's part of the deal you sign on for as a BM and you shouldn't worry about that if the girls agree to be in your wedding. Get them a little something meaninful and work hard to be nice, thoughtful and non-Bridezillish throughout and that is enough!!

For the girls:

They each got a monogrammed bag with their name, inside was a little jewelry box with their name and inside that was the necklace I wanted each of them to wear. The bags were left on their beds as a welcome gift...in the rooms I paid for each of them to have for two nights of the wedding weekend. That part is definitely not necessary!!

(I also took my MOH and cousin/bestie with me for a pre-wedding massage and facial, but she pretty much did everything herself with no help from the other girls, so I wanted to treat her and we had a great time!)

The guys got monogrammed leather coolers filled with their favorite beer:

I gave my flower girl a smaller monogrammed bag with a little bear inside so she wouldn't feel left out and could have something like the 'big girls' :)

And the ushers got Itunes gift cards (they were at that age!)

Overall I didn't spend too much on the actual gifts - the bags were $8 each, the jewelry boxes were $10 and I made the necklaces myself so they were like $4 maybe. The coolers were $15 but DH took care of that! Definitely watch for sales, I found what I wanted early and then kept checking back .
