So Frusturated With Our Cat!!!

He keeps urinating on the carpet.  FI took him to the vet & they said he had a bladder infection.  He finished his meds about a week ago & for about 10 days no accidents...now all of a sudden he is doing it again!!  I just stepped in pee and I am not happy.  He is 5 years old, I don't understand what is going on!!  I guess back to the vet...it's just so expensive.  Anybody have any advice??

boo poor kitty.  does he pee by his box or are they accidents?  mine poos by his box when he thinks his litter box is too dirty.

maybe he needs to drink more water?  i think i read something that says drinking fresh water helps them not get urinary infections.  :/

Sounds like he could have crystals or possible stones I'd take him back to the vet and have him checked out again. Also, cats asociate their surroundings with trauma so if it's painfulfor im to urinate in the litter box he's going to associate the box with that painful experience and not go in it. Try switching up the box and moving that may help.

Thanks.  No, he doesn't pee near his box.  The litter box is in the basement and he keeps peeing on the main level & upstairs.  The water thing is a good idea because he definitely doesn't drink enough of it!
