So tired from DIY

I have 22 invitations completely done, with about 30 others half done. I'm already so tired! I was hoping it would be a little more fun to have people over helping, but with there only being one stamp thing and one cutter, it works out to just me and my mom. Ah well... the stamping continues!

I know what you mean. I took up so many DIY projects. I have 28 days left and I'm really overloaded at the moment.

Have fun making your invitations. I bet they will turn out great.

Hi Moe, I haven't played any Wii lately. FI and I been playing DDR and I'm trying to finish Phoenix Wright 2.

Have you been playing? Do you have any new games?

Good luck with your invitations.

I feel like I started crazy early for the DIYs but I just didn't want to get so overwhelmed later one, which I have a tendency to do. The first few can be really fun but then... :) I bet it will be worth it though!

Ms.Sumomo -- I haven't played recently either, but FI just got a bunch of new games. The only ones I'm interested in are mario/sonic olympics and maybe super smash bros.

Champagne -- The sooner you start the better! It's so nice not to be in a time crunch. Thankfully, I'm not freaking out quite yet :)

Oh god, we just wrapped up our nightmare of DIY invites! *whew* Basically, you really need to just have an assembly line of sorts. It makes the process a lot quicker and seems a lot less daunting. Don't fear, you're doing way less than I did, you'll get through it!

All of my DIY invites are still in boxes I have a year to go I wish I could do them all now since I've set all my vendors but I'm afraid the time will change or something. I'm dieing to do a DIY project but cannot find one to do other than my rhinestone cake topper and seat charts.

a couple of years back, my friend made some awesome flowerpots and gave them out as Christmas gifts- they looked great. he said he wanted to find a way to make and sell them. After calculating the supplies (paint and pots) and the time he spent painting them, we figured out he'd need to charge $75 a piece to make it worth it.
How many people are spending $75 on a flower pot?!

anyway- back then, I figured out that DIY either has to be a project you love or you have to be saving a lot of money to make it worth the time. It's something to keep in mind!

I can see why some women turn to "Bridezillas" as it gets closer to their big day! This is why I'm doing as many projects now (just under five months to go) so I have less to stress about later. I've been slicing corks for the place card holders. I've got about 70 more to do. They're really cute though :) I've also been working on components of the invites for the past couple of weeks. I'm holding off printing them until I confirm EVERYTHING with our venue this friday. The catering management has gone through 3 management changes since signing the contract. So you can imagine the concern. I'm so glad I had the original manager counter-sign my contract. Hopefully it all sticks.
