I'm borrowing a piece of jewlery from my FMIL. When I asked her if she could be my "something borrowed", she was *so* touched.

I have four bridesmaids, so I had this cute idea to put them all in charge of one of the items, since there are four. This, however, is an absolutely terrible idea with the bridesmaids I have.

So I put up a wall post on our Facebook group, asking people to volunteer items for the something borrowed and something old. These are the two I can't really cover myself.

A sixpence or a shiny penny in the bride's shoe on the wedding day symbolizes wealth so I'm borrowing a shiny penny from my parents' coin bank =)

I am going to ask a friend if they have pearl studs I can borrow...the whole idea behind something borrowed, is you borrow from someone who has a happy marriage and isn't family....at least I think I read that somewhere...
