Staff charge and service charge... Catering question...

Ok I am concerned that our invoice for catering does not include tip but I am hoping it does because these prices are just really high if not.

This is how our catering invoice reads:

Food  = $1500

Staff Inc = $410

Bartender = $150

Service Charge = $480

Total for 3 hours of service = $2540 + 7% tax

Thoughts? My thought is if tip still has to be included then I will be paying the same amount for service as I am for food. Is this right!?

Ask your catering company. I know with some the service charge is the tip. The best way to find out how they do it is to ask them directly

Yes it never hurts to ask :)

I remember getting our invoice and there was an 18% service charge. It's expensive!!!! But if it's the tip, tthat's just how it is!

I dont even want to talk about catering charges. I live here in Atlanta and the prices are through the roof. What a lot of brides do here to save is just get food from their favorite restaurants and hire a small staff to work the buffet, or serve.
