Stupid Question Thread

We used to have one of these threads in the main forum for wedding planning, so I thought I would add one here -- just in case anyone in our group has any questions they might otherwise be afraid/hesitant/embarrassed to ask. No question is too small or "stupid" since most of us are new at all this :-)

I have a couple questions to start it off!

1) An acquaintance gave me a bag of maternity clothes (gently used) when we first announced our pregnancy. Do you return maternity clothes to the person who gave them to you? I assumed they were on loan, but for some reason now I'm not sure if I am supposed to return them.

2) What are your thoughts on crib bumpers? Everything I read says they are not recommended for safety reasons, but every time I see a photo of a real life nursery -- friends, FB, product reviews, etc. -- they all have bumpers in their cribs. What do you guys think?

@moore.......I eat a small snack/meal probably every 2 hours all day long.  Eating large meals just doesnt sit well with my stomach anymore.

@Christina - that's how my 1st trimester was. I was hungry every 2 hours and went from 0-starving pretty quickly. Then it leveled out and now with LO's growth spurt I'm back to being hungry all the dang time! Some days I feel like a bottomless pit. But usually I'm grazing through the day snacking on fruits, veggies, nuts, yogurt, cheese, etc.

ditto aunttate, wait til you get to the third trimester and you have to eat more frequently!  I have gotten up at 5am just to eat a bowl of cereal bc my stomach hunger would wake me up.

@Ashley--"0-starving pretty quickly" is EXACTLY how I feel!  But I have been good with snacking on fruits, veggies, nuts, yogurt, and cheese.  I just feel a bit weird feeling this hungry all the time.  Thanks for reassuring me, ladies!

I know I'm late to respond, but I'm right there with the other girls, Christina. Ash described it perfectly! I HAD to eat every couple hours in my first tri. It really helped keep my nausea at bay and it just...had to be done! Lol! Then it leveled off for a couple months and it was almost like I was back to my pre-preg eating habits. Now late in my second tri I have to eat all the time again!! Some days...watch out! :-) Having healthy snacks on hand is a must for me. I don't feel too bad grazing on healthy food!
