Super TMI post....but..

Ok if you are afraid of TMI please leave now lol

I have an app on my phone for my "cycle" and when my period will come. According to its calculations (its always been right since I started this app in Janurary) that I will indeed..have my period on my wedding day :( (may 31st 2014) I know thats a ways away but I'm just super bummed about it! It will also be the 2nd day which is always the worst (headache, cramping, bloating moody) I need some advice on how to deal with this and ladies have you had the unexpected annoyance happen to you? Another thing is I don't and I can't wear tampons which really sucks so I'm stuck with the alternative on my special day :(

Ok, first question-what type, if any, of bc do you use? LIke with the pill, sometimes you can skip the reminder ones and automatically start a new pack, which should throw your cycle off some. Or if you do the ring, you could start it a week late(but use back up in the mean time!!). And if you AREN'T on any b/c right now, you may could get a script for some and start it a different day other than the Sun after you last menstral and get it used to starting at a different time. Just some suggestions!

I didn't have a break between taking my pills for a month so my period didn't fall on my wedding - it's definitely something to consider

Well, like these other ladies have said, if you want to be IN CONTROL of your period, you can basically say when you would like to start your period. So, instead of taking a week off to have your period, just start a new pack of pills so that you don't have it on your wedding day!

I did that for the first time last December because we were going on a week long vaca with my family and it turns out my FI proposed that week! If I would've been on my period that week, I would've been so miserable with migraines and cramps, including the day he proposed!

I would definitely seriously think about getting on the pill!

I wish there were some natural way to skip a period (other than getting pregnant :P ) that I could suggest!!!!!! Have you thought about going on the pill, even for a few months, so that it will change the timing for your periods?

Otherwise, I honestly believe you will be having so much fun that you won't even notice cramps! And if you do, there is always Midol!

We're all girls here, dealing with the same issues. We don't care. :)

Besides the pill idea, I cannot think of any other way. It's worth it, even if you just temporary take the pill for a few months. Just start 2-3 months before your wedding to make sure your cycle is in order and that you do not have spotting.

Yes, we are all grown ladies here so please don't feel bad.  I would have the same concerns since my second day is always the worse too.

I'm not sure if this is actually true or not so check with your doctor.  But my girlfriend told me that you can go to your doctor and she can perscribe a pill that can delay your cycle.  It could be BC pills that he/she gives you temporarily  which is exactly what the other ladies are suggesting but I'm not sure.

Something to consider anyways.  I would definitely check into doing something because that will so miserable :(  Good luck!

Mine was scheduled to come the day after the wedding and we would have been on our honeymoon, but because I was super stressed I suppose, it didn't start until way after we got back from our honeymoon. Lol. This is by no means a solution for you, just telling you my story because this was my thought the whole time too!

I agree with the other ladies about the bc pills. Wishing you luck!
