Swollen Feet

Anyone have any tips to reduce swelling? Mine are so swollen they hurt. I can barely walk today. When I walk I can like feel the fluid sloshing around. It's so gross.

Like MNM said - elevate your feet. Try to do it every chance you get. Also, I have heard great things about those compessions stockings too. I KNOW I will have this issue in a few short months. I have swollen feet by the end of the day even pre-pregnancy, so I imagine that as the heat spikes & the bigger I get, the more of an issue it will become...

I had swollen feet toward the end - I called them muffin top feet.

Ditto what MNM said, drinks lots of fluid and try to wear flats.  Mine would get bad when it was hot or if I stood on my feet a lot.

Ouch! The only tips I know of are elevating your feet and keeping your fluid intake up. Sorry you have to deal with that right now!

If you have pitting at all (where you press down and the indent stays for a moment) you need to call your doc. Swelling is totally normal towards the end of the third trimester but can be an early warning sign for issues too, especially when it's before like 36 weeks. If it comes on suddenly and it's bad enough that it's painful I would call.
