Thanksgiving Appetizers

I know it's way early but it was just pointed out to DH and I that it's our turn to host. Last time I tried to do way too much in the oven and it was a disaster so do any of you have suggestions (and recipes please) for apps that are either cold or can be done on the stove?

TIA

There are a ton of cold apps that can be done like deviled eggs, veggie tray, shrimp, bruschetta. I like to go on allreceipes.com and get ideas.

I've made these several times and they are sooo good.  I think they work well for Thanksgiving because of the cranberry.  I married into an Italian family so I always do a pasta dish and meatballs as a side.  I cook these stovetop then move to a crockpot for extra room.

I know I am way late for this but for future get togethers... figs wrapped in bacon is DELISH!

You place uncooked bacon wrapped around figs and broil them so the bacon is nice and crisp- its a very good salty sweet combo. Serve them with toothpicks.
