The most important thing to do (which is extremely difficult to do) is don't sweat the small stuff!!! I know that we all want a perfect wedding but trust me there is no such thing.  If you let the stress get to you, you will not enjoy your day.

Leading up to your wedding is the worst because we all want everything to be perfect, the decor, the food, the music, your dress and your wedding party outfits.

From my experience (my wedding) and from attending other weddings is that the only thing people remember (comment on) is your dress, the food/drinks and the music.  People who go to weddings go to have fun and that is one thing that the bride and groom need to keep in mind.

The decor is on it's own, when people walk into the venue hall for the first few minutes they say how lovely everything looks and take in all that you have done...then it's all forgotten.

By the end of the day/night what matters the most is...did you enjoy yourself...did you have that wow factor....is this the night that you will remember for the rest of your life...that is what matters!!!!!

Let people help.

I had a hard time with this one specifically. I'm a control freak and I got so anxious even just watching people tie a ribbon on my programs. Turns out they knew how to tie a bow and I freaked over nothing.

You don't have to do it all! If people are offering tkae them up on it!

Maggie - What great advice.  You're absolutely right.  Don't sweat the details because at the end of the day, your guests just want to enjoy your wedding day with you and enjoying your big day has more to do with laughing, dancing and hugging your guests.  You're so right on this.  People won't be spending the night scrutinizing how one candle votive is out of place and if they are, then they're there for the wrong reasons, right?  I'm definitely going to take your advice to heart.

Nikki - Bang on.  OMG, I so hear you on having a hard time delegating and I'm so relieved to hear that I'm not the only one who has a hard time letting other people do simple tasks. *sigh*  This one's going to be a hard thing to do, but I'm definitely going to try for the sake of my own sanity.

Thanks so much for this GREAT advice ladies.  :)
