The Secret to Losing Weight!
If you don't know already, I work at a gym, so I see a lot of articles written and what not on health and weight loss. Well, this one was sent to me, and I absolutely love it. It is funny and honest.
I am working on a bulletin board with this, so here is my version -all cleaned up for HR purposes. LOL.
*Give yourself a goal. Maybe you want to lose 10 pounds. Maybe you want to quarterback the Green Bay packers to the Superbowl. But be warned: Losing 10 pounds is hard.*
*Develop a gym routine. Go at least 3 days per week. Do a mixture of strength training and cardiovascular conditioning. After the third week, stop carrying around that bag of cookies.*
*No one in the history of the gym has ever lost a pound while reading “The New Yorker,” and slowly pedaling on the recumbent bike. No one.*
*Don’t fall for gimmicks. The only tried and true way to lose 10 pounds in 48 hours is food poisoning.*
*Don’t get fooled into eating one of those “recovery energy bar with antioxidant dark chocolate” —that’s a chocolate bar.*
*You can do the 10 minute ab video, the 20 minute ab video, or the 30 minute ab video, but there’s always the stop eating pizza and sheet cake ab video that’s even better.*
*If the gym or gym class you are taking is going to be effective, it should be hard. If you’re relaxed and enjoying yourself, you’re at brunch.*
*FACT: Thinking about going to the gym burns between 0 and 0 calories.
*FACT: THERE IS NO SECRET!! Exercise more and lay off the fries. The End.
