We didn't hire a wedding planner.
I have a destination wedding. My planner lives there and recommends/contacts most vendors, signs contracts with them. She will also be there on my wedding day to control the situation.
I did not hire one, but depending on their cost...I would expect them to work closely with me and do all the contacting of vendors for me and making sure things are set and run smoothly!
I hired Vicki Johnson in DC for our wedding.
Vicki helped set a budget for us, she also introduced me to a few vendors I had not looked into which turned out to be great and they gave discounts becuase she has worked with them before. She gave advice when I was unsure of several parts of the wedding, was also practical when I wanted to go overboard lol. She helped on our dress rehearsal day run through and dress rehearsal lunch.
She was THE BEST on my wedding day. If anything went wrong I really didn't know. The only thing I caught was the flower girl purses had not arrived in the morning from the florist and she took care of that, becuase they were not walking without them lol. She was on top of EVERYTHING from the start of the ceremony to the end of the evening.
we did not hire a planner, but we did hire two day-of coordinators. they placed everything for us, something our venue does not do. some venues do have event coordinators on site to place any pre-assembled items where they need to go. so chat with your venue!
I do not have any plan now.
We are not planing to hire any wedding planner.Rather then we want a smell and sweet marrige. Our friends are ready to help us.
