Things may go wrong

There are so many new faces on the boards! One thing I know for sure, no matter how much we plan, things may go wrong. For all my new brides, during your whole wedding planning process, I want you to remember this, the real prize is marrying the love of your life.  I know sometimes looking at others wedding day, it may appear all was well when there were probably actually some bloopers along the way. So if you find yourself disappointed or stressed because things are not going right during your planning, I want you to know all of us marrieds have been where you are! I would like for all my marrieds to share some of their mishaps, if there were any, and how regardless, we all had the perfect day!

- Forgot aisle runner that was purchased for the ceremony (didn't even realize it until the next day)

- Forgot stand and vase for the roses for the rose ceremony (improvised - maid of honor handed me mine to give to DH and best man handed him his to give to me)

- Got dirt or oil on the bottom of my dress (stepson sewed an applique over it)

- Limousine ran hot on the way to pick me up, so the ceremony started at 4:30 instead of four

-Music didn't play when I walked down the aisle (hired a guitarist for the beginning of the ceremony so he started playing when he realized the music didn't start)

- DH forgot to give the liquor to my friend who did the reception for us (stepson went and picked it up from the house and got it there in the nick of time!)

-It was so hot the day of the wedding, all the bridesmaid bouquets wilted (they salvaged the ones that didn't and carried one bloom down the aisle)

No matter what went wrong it was all forgotten, because the thing that went right is I married the love of my life!

There are quite a few things I'm worried about going wrong...I've only had a little over two months to plan it and I always think I'm forgetting something! Hopefully you guys' mishaps will keep me from  making my own. :P
But like you said, I'm just excited to marry my best friend. <3

Very nice to know and nice to hear that even though things went wrong it was still an amazing day for you because at the end of it all you married your best friend and soul mate. I wish you both a lifetime of endless love and laughter you deserve it for having the true meaning of love and a wedding to share the day together with your loved ones to celebrate, so many people worry too much about the little details.

oooh I have several!

- I got a stain on my dress during the pictures before the ceremony

- We ran out of lemonade within the first like 20 minutes of the reception (I never even got any!)

- Alex dropped my ring during the exchanging of the rings (it almost fell through the cracks in our deck!! thank goodness it didn't!)

- Our top layer of our cake kept melting in the sun so our topper kept falling over. All of the pro-pics I have of our cake show like crazy weird lines in our top layer haha

oooh I have several photo 3453238-1

- A bunch of people forgot to take favors/didn't notice the favors (luckily my aunt started handing them out!)

- Our limo came early and we didn't really have time for final goodbyes (or cupcakes)

- When I packed our bag for the wedding night I forgot my birth control, my pants, and shampoo/conditioner (I had to call someone to come bring it once we got to the hotel)

Oh gosh were there!
The Dj played our intro song but missed the refrain which was let's go Mets!
My cousin's trashy baby Momma complained the whole tome about how she wasn't invited to the hen night.
My DH was paralysed w fear during 1st dance but I talked him thru it & my mom swore I blew him kisses the whole time! Hehehehe
I dont remember any of it! I am happily married & it was all beautiful!

Oh yea! Lots of little things went wrong!

Tressy, awesome idea since there are so many new faces on the boards! :) Hopefully this will help!!

-I didn't get to put up the chair signs or funny portraits of us, heck the sweetheart table was barely decorated!

-We didn't practice putting together the chinese lanterns before hand, so they never got put up (luckily our venue already has some permanently up in the tent!)

-Our DJ pronounced our last name wrong...hello, have we not known you/worked with you these last few months!?!?! lol.

-I'm sure there's more, but I have to run...Literally those things don't matter at all the day of!!

IdoAgain20years

19 years ago when Mark and I got married everything went perfectly UNTIL we got to the hotel room and the bell boy ended up seeing me in my birthday suit. BTW I was 7months pregnant. I planned that wedding in 2 weeks. There is a long story to all of this, but believe me all I cared about was being married legally.

This past weekend we celebrated our Vow Renewal. We have been together over 20 years.

Let's see what did not go wrong.

Well I had a ton of fun and noone noticed all the things that were missing.

Just let it go if there is something that goes awry it is not worth fretting over. Trust me on this I really was the only one who knew!

Wow, thanks ladies! Now I know what to overly prepare for come my wedding. Currently checking out How To Handle a Destination Wedding Drama But of course unexpected events will arise for sure no matter how prepared I am and I so agree with Mrs.CaleYoung and IdoAgain20years, we just have to deal with those stuff that went wrong, let it pass, enjoy the wedding and have a good time with my man! :)
