Three tier cake container

Ok, so me and my fiancé have decided to make our wedding cake ourselves since I love to bake. The problem with this is I'm trying to find a PLASTIC container that will at least hold a three tier cake. I did have a cake container like this, but it would only hold about two tiers. It was a container that the lid snapped on and it had a handle that snapped onto the sides. Can anyone tell me where to find something like this?

That's a tough one. Found this on etsy...not sure how big it actually is?

I think that you might have better luck if you boxed up each tier individually and then set the cake up once you get to where it's going.

For one of my daughter's birthdays I got her a three tier cake from walmart. We had to pick the cake up at the store of course and it came in a huge cardboard box already assembled. You could look into maybe buying the box from walmart or a grocery store in your area that does wedding cakes.

I really think it's unlikely that you'll find a plastic box for that, but they do make cardboard cake boxes for already-assembled cakes. Here's a link to one kind: http://bakeabox.com/tiered-cake-boxes/

Have you made and delivered cakes like that before? If you're not already experienced in doing it, make sure to do a lot of research on the structure of stacked cakes so that you can build it so it won't easily fall apart/over during delivery. I used to make a lot of wedding cakes, and before I was experienced, one of my first wedding cakes became a cake disaster when I had to brake a little too hard during delivery. I just wouldn't want you to have an experience like that!

Here's another link for a similar product since I just noticed that the bakeabox website isn't taking orders right now:  http://www.globalsugarart.com/cake-boxes-for-tiered-cakes-c-869_890.html

I'm not experienced in wedding cake making AT ALL, lol. This will be my first time. It might be a lot better just to put them in separate boxes and then assemble it there....because I sure don't want cake all over the vehicle!
