Thumbprint tree instructions?

I'm trying to think of how to word the instructions for our thumbprint guestbook tree... here's what I'm thinking...

"Leaf" your thumbprint on a branch

Then sign your name below

So in days to come we can recall

Who helped our marriage grow!

Do you think it's clear enough? Should there be some "fine print" with instructions in plain english? Or just... a sheet on the table with step-by-step instructions, but the pretty poem up in a frame....

11 days out, my brain is fried. LOL

I think it sounds great.  If you are worried about people not understanding you can put the "fine print" in plain English below, or have some family do it first so that way there is an example for them on the template already.

I think it's clear...but if you're worried why don't you "leaf" one yourself kinda as an example. This way when they see the tree they'll get the idea

I did one at a wedding over the summer and we had a sign that just said:

Please "leaf" your thumbprint.

I did the first one so people got what you should do.

Yeah, we're planning to have the wedding party (MOH, groomsmen, etc.) lead by example. :)
