What is your honeymoon plans? Anyone went on a cruise for their honeymoon? Did you enjoy yourself what was the over all experience rate from 1-5!!
im gonna bump for answers too! we are headed on a cruise to alaska for ours....1st cruise...im hoping its all its cracked up to be!!
I actually found a great deal yesterday for a cruise and the price is right, so I'm thinking we would just go for it!!
We went on a cruise on our honeymoon and we had a great time. Cruises right now are really cheap and you will get the best value for your dollar. When you stop and think about the value...where can you go that you can eat, have lodging and be entertained for less than $100 per person per day. We signed up for some of the excursions and a couples massage! We met some other really nice couples that were on their honeymoons also.
I won't be going on a cruise for the honeymoon, but have been on two before! They were fun, and it's nice to see more than one place, but I prefer all-inclusive resorts! Really, there are two reasons -- one, I am a beach person and need more than two days with my butt parked in the sand; and, two, I like all-inclusive because I don't have to worry about paying for drinks or anything really! If you don't mind those two factors, then go for it.. you will definitely enjoy it :)
We just got back from ours earlier this month. We had a lovely time, but like FaithK, I think I would prefer an all inclusive resort next time. FI and I love the beach, and I don't think you get to spend enough time there on a cruise. Plus, you are still on somewhat of a schedule, and have to keep your eye on the clock. There's also lots to do, and the cruise director is (strictly IMO) a bit annoying about reminding you constantly what those activities are. Also, the first day consists of standing in line and traveling and muster drill, so don't even count that day. And your last day you'll pull into port at 8am, so don't count that day either. But the food is great, and it is the cheaper option. And it's awesome to look out on your first "sea day" and see absolutely nothing but water. It's also a great way to get a little taste of each port. And the shows after dinner are pretty cool. Over all, I would probably give it a 3 out of 5 stars:) Hope that helps you out!
My DH and I went on our 2 week Honeymoon last November and we had such an amazing time that we booked another one for our 1 yr anniversary!!!!
We loved every minute of it..DH has done cruises before, this was my first experience and we are not just going in November but we have booked one this April and we are taking our daughter with us as a special treat since she will be going to University this September.
You can do as little or as much as you want....we were never bothered and at times just went on a beach for the day...The food is amazing, the show's were great and I honestly think that it's up to you to make the decisions of how you would like to spend your days. May be some Cruise's are different but we went on the Princes Cruise line and there we 24 honeymooners and it was amazing!!!
It's romantic, fun and overall when the crew on board knows that it's your honeymoon you get spoiled!!!! It's a wonderful way to see not just one Island but many others!!!!
I say go for it!!!! You will not be disappointed!!!!! I give it 5 ++++
This is great! I'll be going on my first cruise for my honeymoon in Sept. Can't wait!
I will be cruising to the BAHAMAS July 2 - July 6 and then we are going to party in Miami for the weekend. I am soooooooo excited!!! This will be my first and my future hubby's 4th or 5th. I plan on snorkeling, parasailing and any other crazy thing I can get myself into!
Thanks ladies. We are looking into it and dang I didnt know you had to pay for the drinks on the cruise? That could be a big deal because both FH and I love to have our cocktails hmm
