To veil or not to veil

Ok, ladies, need an opinion. I have been engaged for a year. We are getting married on the beach, in four days. The while time we have been engaged, I knew I didn't want a veil for the wedding. Now I'm having major second thoughts about this, without much time to spare! Should I run around at lunch and see if I can find one? Or stick to my original plan and go without(was planning a flower in hair)?? It just seems like all of a sudden to me that is an important part I am leaving out but it wasn't up until yesterday! Maybe I feel it will make me look more bride-y? Or more wedding-y? lol I mean, we have always planned to have a low key, relaxed ceremony at the beach(my dress is shorter in the front and longer in back, he is wearing khaki shorts and a white long sleeve shirt with the sleeves rolled up, and we will be barefoot). Am I over thinking this? What do you all suggest?

Given that it's so close to your wedding, it could be just nerves sending you into high gear to "speak now or forever hold your peace" as far as getting every little detail in before the big day.

That said, what if it turns out you really, really want it and you only have FOUR DAYS???  Well, you don't really need to panic--there are a lot of Prime-eligible veils on Amazon that could be on your doorstep before the wedding.

If there is someone you have been working with closely (friend, mother, MOH) to plan the big day, bounce the idea off her to see if it fits in with your vision.  Think, too, if it works out logistically: on the beach, will you be dealing with wind that will have your veil blowing all over the place, or will a light warm breeze have a gauzy romantic effect in your photos?

But, whatever the circumstances, try to relax and enjoy this day you have worked so hard to plan for... and congrats!

I originally did not want a veil myself but when I went into David's Bridal and tried on dresses and the consultant put on the veil, it completed the look for me. When I finally ordered the veil I wanted off of etsy.com for the amazing price of 19.99, it arrived and I tried it on with my headpiece, I got so emotional it made me cry. My veil made me feel like a bride for some reason and I had even planned on taking it off at the reception, but I loved it so much, I wore it the whole time!

It won't hurt to look if you have time, but the flower in the hair for the beach wedding will be a great look too! So funny you did this post because I was looking at pictures on google of beach weddings and just about all the brides wore veils or a flower! Whatever you choose you are going to look spectacular!

Thanks, all! The dress is an off-white, halter that goes around the neck, short in front, longer in the back, with lace overlay. And for the life of me, I can't find a picture of it to show you right now. @Mrscale, I think that is what keeps filtering thru my head-will it complete the "bride" look for me?? Do I have to have a veil to totally feel like a bride that day??

@Karenrose, I feel part of it may be nerves, too, otherwise why would it wait until last minute to hit me? And I AM worried about the wind, esp with all of the tropical storm aftermath moving thru there. But at the same time, I just can't seem to settle my mind one way or the other!
